SIGNS AND WONDERS
The Greek definition of Sign is....a supernatural miracle, token, wonder, while Wonder is...
a prodigy or an omen.
Isaiah 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, Which dwelleth in mount Zion.
The children given Him are those often referred to as “little children†and they are the man child of end times. They are the “chosen few†of the “many called,†or the very elect of the elect. He tells us that the wonders are in Israel but that is not speaking of a geographical location. Israel is His family of believers…Jew and Christian. What are the signs and wonders His children will do? As well as God's children doing this, we are also told that false prophets will produce signs and wonders…..
Deuteronomy 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
So, they can be used for deception as well as good…and, to teach a lesson….
Deuteronomy 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
He then, after a list of curses, tells us..…
28:45-46 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded thee: And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
He again warns us of those that show false signs in the New Testament...
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
11 Thessalonians 2:8-9 And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy, with the brightness of His coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
Perhaps the signs and wonders of His children is shown in.....
Acts 2:17-19 And it shall come to pass in the last days,’ saith God, ‘I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.†11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
11:11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, “Come up hither.†And they ascended up to heaven in (the)a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
Is that the "wonders in heaven above?" The witnesses ascend and that begins the same sequence of events described in the following three passages....
Mark 13:26-27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall He send His angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive, and remain, shall be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air (in our spirit bodies...not the atmosphere): and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and He That sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

From the above, the signs and wonders that He and His children do "in Israel," I believe are those the witnesses are described as having the ability to perform during their three and one half year prophecy.
