Sister reba, I had heard this a bit differently, but George Washington Carver born of slave parents asked God how He made the universe, God told him He couldn’t teach that to a peanut sized brained man, but go into your lab, and I’ll you how I made the peanut. We all face problems huh? The following article is surely more accurate.

"He asked God to reveal to him the secrets of the universe," Tuskegee University's Frank J. Toland said. "God's response to him was that his mind was too small to perceive that."

To that Carver replied, "Then teach me the mysteries of the peanut."

I did not do not care about the accuracy of who said exactly what.. the sentiment it what got to me..

From your article
Carver was often heard to say "The Lord has guided me," and "Without my Savior, I am nothing."

We serve a awesome God..

Either way G.W. Carver was a great human being.
