Someone forgot to tell these angels about TULIP.

Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” Revelation 14:6-7

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16-17

God loves the unsaved people of the world and desires them to be saved.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Yes, he has a universal love for all humans because he made them, but he has a special love for believers that he showed through the second Person of God, Jesus Christ.

I can visualize the angel of the Lord if anyone stood up (or sat down) and tried to tell Him about tulip.
Before a syllable is spoken, the angel of the Lord already knows everything, and fire proceeds out of His mouth, and that 'anyone' who started to (as if) tell Him about tulip is vaporized instantly.

The angel was sent by God to all the world, to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people, hoping they will repent and be saved.

No one is saved without first hearing and obeying the Gospel.

Such knowledge must come much later after a person becomes a mature believer. I agree with TULIP, though it should have been called "PULIP." But it's Dutch origin wouldn't have been quite as evident. :approve

Rev 14:6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—

Nothing non-Calvinist about that. Who was actually saved?

Rev 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
Rev 5:10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."

Not everybody. I would bet that in the last 2,000 years a majority of people have not heard the gospel.

What point are you making about TULIP, Whatever? Please spell out what you think Calvinists believe and how you disagree with it and why. Then, we can have a reasonable conversation.

What point are you making about TULIP
The person who started this thread seemed to think the angels preaching the gospels to all who dwell on the Earth, somehow contradicted TULIP.

TULIP says nothing about how many people hear the gospel. It's about who is saved and why.

Exactly.

These angels don't understand that as they are preaching to... having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people.

As the title states... someone forgot to tell these angels that only the elect are saved, so there is no reason for them to preach the gospel to every tribe nation and tongue... They are just wasting their time.

Everyone should know that the gospel is just for saved people, called the elect.

That is your anti-calvinism fallacious logic speaking. Calvinists preach the gospel to everybody.

Our jobs as Christian is to plow or water and leave the results to God.
1 Co 3:6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.
1Co 3:7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

I have concerns similar to what you have expressed here. But I have a hard time puting into words an accurate representation of my concerns on the subject.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Mt 11:28)

It seems quite cynical to offer people hope for their burdened souls when you know most of them are disqualified from receiving it.

It's not cynical; it's the fact that we don't know who are the elect and who aren't. So, we scatter the gospel-seeds to everyone and let God take care of the rest.

Does this mean you believe God loves the world and wants them to be saved?

  • that the world through Him might be saved.

Doesn’t it seem strange that angels would preach the Gospel to people who are already saved?

The "world" is an "it" not a "them."

You keep coming up with this false idea. The elect are not already saved. They are born children of wrath just like everybody else. They are born to be saved at a future time. The elect must hear the gospel and believe it in order to be saved. Their hearing and believing it are simply foreordained.

1 Corinthians 1:21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe

The "world" is an "it" not a "them."

Let’s compare your theory to the actual context.

that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:15-18

As we plainly see Jesus was sent to save unsaved people.

Whoever and he are references to people who must believe in order to be saved.

OR, perhaps, no one is "already" saved

Calvinist’s believe the elect are saved first then when they hear the gospel they believe.

Yes! Absolutely. Jesus came to save unsaved people and people must believe to be saved.
But in order to believe they must hear the gospel.

Romans 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For "WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED."

Then Paul asks some rhetorical questions (A rhetorical question is a question asked for effect rather than to elicit an answer, often used to make a point or emphasize an idea. For example, asking "Is the sky blue?" implies that the answer is obvious and serves to reinforce a statement rather than seek information.)
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? (they can't)
And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? (they can't)
And how shall they hear without a preacher? (they can't)
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? (they can't)
(Romans 10: 14-15)

In the last 2000 years since Jesus came, billions of people have not heard the gospel. People in the Amazon Jungle; Aborigines in Australia; and American Indians never heard the gospel until Europeans finally made it here and there in ships with preachers. For over a thousand years these people were unreached and could not be saved by calling on a lord they never heard of.

These people above could not have been in the mind of a omniscient God when He sent His Son.

Calvinist’s believe the elect are saved first then when they hear the gospel they believe.
So? Will God Allow a calvinite a chance to repent of their sin then, or leave them as unbeliever, in unbelief, unsaved ? As long as they don't believe Jesus, they're lost; as long as they rebel against truth, and reject what the Bible says clearly, they're lost.
