Personally, I got no problem with walking away if they dont' want us there.....there prez can spend his time jerking at the end of a NK rope if that is what he wants......we can spend that money in better places.......

Where do we get off thinking that we always know what is best for everyone else in the world? If S. Korea prefers that we take a back seat, what right do we have to force our policies upon them? Sounds pretty arrogant on our part to me. If S. Korea wants our military support, then by all means provide it but if they don't who are we to deny their request?

about what has occured to nations we've supported verses which ones we've pulled out of militarily. I don't know really how to fact check all of the information there, but if it's true then the point that the nation's we pulled out of have since then become global issues because of being over run by terrorists and Islamic extremists. The video was the fist post in the thread and apparently the thread is now closed. But still it gives a counter point to the idea, "if we're not wanted, we should just leave.

The article made it sound like the S. Korean candidate, was a politician playing the games that politicians play. Say one thing for the votes, but take a different line in an interview (or back down to a more somber tone). Keep people guessing at your goals, and what you intend to do till your in office and will do as you really want. With or without the people's support.

If he becomes president he might be fine. I don't know much about S. Korea politics and leadership to know what is fine and what isn't.

Eh,we aren't in Germany for any Russian threat and care to elaborate how we dnot even have a division In korea?

We still have troops in Japan and can easily send them back.the Rok army isn't s pushover.i doubt china wants s. korea.

i guess so just like the middle east. the thing they fear from china is a attack of the missile defense we put in. here is what it amounts to nk has threatened us . if had the capability would nuke the u.s. i dont lie war dont want to see war. but at some point if war happens hit them with a wide range of bombs and i mean total destruction . let all hell break lose no retreat no surrender flatten every thing that even looks like military . a ground war would be in n.k favor . i dont mean these precision attacks. i mean blow it up to rubble . so for me it is more than just protection . we can not be the world cop

the only reason .n.korea was lasting as long in the war was that the Russians were backing them . we engaged and shot down many a Russian pilots. without said backing they wont be able to last long. china has no interest in a war with us. so long as we don't provoke them they wont go to bat for n.korea.
