Stand praying ?.......Mk.11:25

I believe Jesus told us to pray at all times. Not just when standing or kneeling. But I would wager that kneeling became common as a sign of humility before God.
 
I think this is a denominational thing. Some kneel, some don't.

How do you pray twinc ?
 
1Ki 8:54 . . , he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

2 Ch 6:13 . . kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven,

Dan 6:10 . . he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Bowing was another demonstration of deference, or worship when praying.

Gen 48:12 . . . he bowed himself with his face to the earth.
