Why do I think the term "a hand full of something" is 6 somethings.

Do you have 6 children, by any chance? Or 4 children, and a wife (she counts as two :wink)?

I would come closer to seeing a "handful" as 5. Because most people have 5 fingers.
2= a couple
3= a few
4= several
5= a handful
6= a half-dozen

Me too, but a hand full is whatever can fit into your hand.

That's a good graph?(What do you call that) by the way.

I try to put my "finger" on the essence of things, or at least "grasp" the concept, in general. You know, sort of "get a hand on" things.... "take hold of" the idea... get a grip on it.
