I don’t know the system where you live. For us a yearly tax bill comes to us for our property addressed to my wife and I because our names are the ones on the deed. We have six children and only one is still living at home. I can’t imagine where or how any of their names would show up in the property tax records. But that is how it is in our county in Maryland.
I don’t know how one of our kids could possibly interject themselves into tax records.
I imagine one of them could, if so inclined, be claiming residency some other way such as to get their child into our schools or claim residency to receive some welfare type benefits from our jurisdiction. But none of that would get them into tax records.
I am sure this has come up, but do you consider the relationship with your daughter irreconcilable?
