Orange is apparently associated psychologically with hunger. That's why most restaurants use Orange or Red+yellow (makes orange).

It may be because orange is one of the more easily seen colors.....orange hunting vests.

I think yellow is supposedly the most easily seen, hence the Yellow Submarine.....no, not really.
