I changed my mind from he being his own antagonist to the back up singer's voice seconds before the end of the video. I understand now why he threw his gifts into the fire, if it would make her stop, I would do the same.
 
It wasn't JUST the background singing. It was all of the whispered breathing of the singing, all the way through.

I got that problem from my pastor whom two Christmas ago did just that in one sentence went from Christmas to His return.
