Tell me Protestants, why do many churches regard eucharist as "just a symbol" or with "some presence of god" or many do not have eucharist at all, and dont see importance of it. I would imagine Rick Warren and Joyce Meyers are among those types.

If it is true that Eucharist is only a symbol, why would Jesus at last supper refer to bread and wine as "his body and blood". He referred to it several times this way, and had plenty of opprotunity to say "it is merely a symbol" or "when you do in remembrance of me, Only take this to be a representation." Instead he said, my literal body and blood.

What do you all think of this?

Discussion of Catholic doctrine is limited and will only be allowed in the One on One Debate Forum and End Times forum only. RCC content in the End Times forum should relate to End Times beliefs. Do not start new topics elsewhere or sway existing threads toward a discussion or debate that is may be viewed as ‘Catholic’ in nature.

Please know that we included this clause several years ago because people could not discuss these types of discussion in the Spirit of Christ. Rather, they became heated arguments fueling hatred toward on another. Simply put, it all became a bit much to moderate. As a result, Catholic doctrines can only be discussed in the two above mentioned forums.

Thank you for your consideration and compliance.
