Darwinian evolution was and is inherently a racist philosophy.
No. In fact, Darwin scandalized religious people of his time, by asserting that if you moved "savages" to England, in a few generations, they'd be just like Englishmen.

And of course, Darwinian scientists like Reginald Punnett, showed that eugenic ideas were scientifically unsupportable. On the other hand, as late as the 1990s, racists like ICR director Henry Morris was writing about the supposed intellectual and spiritual inferiority of black people.

It teaches that different groups or “races” of people evolved at different times and rate

Darwinian theory shows that there are no biological human races today. However, there once were different races of humans ( we have enough genetic material to learn that Neanderthals and Denisovans were different races of H. sapiens) and they did appear at different times.

Barbarian, thank you for putting some logic and sense into this discussion.

As noted, the inherent racism of the founders of YE creationism remains a problem even today. While most creationists leaders no longer assert that black people are genetically inferior to whites (as ICR founder Henry Morris did), or that black people are not descended from Adam and Eve (as many early creationists like Agassiz did) we still see remnants of such teachings among creationists.

The important thing is, even if Neandertals and Denisovans were in some way inferior to us intellectually (and there's no reason to make that assumption), why would it matter to God? Does he love smart people more than average people or dumb people? That would be so unlike everything He shows us, as to be absurd.

The Bible points out that while our bodies are created naturally, like other living things, our souls are given directly to us by God. That seems like a special creation to me.
