At the beginning of the seventieth week of Daniel, the first ‘of the seven seals’ will be removed (Rev.6:1). A rider on a white horse, Who is him?

In those ‘last years’ (Ezekiel 38: 8), ‘a great gathering and a large army’ will rise and come ‘to the mountains of Israel,’ and ‘its inhabitants will be returned from the peoples, and they will all live in safety.’ But when Israel will see that Gog is about to attack them, they will ask to theyself a ruler. But not this ruler will defeat Gog, but the Lord Himself:

‘Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD’ (Ezek.38: 23)

‘And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face’ (Ezek.38:18)

‘And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel’ (Ezek.39:11)

‘So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel’ (Ezek.39: 7)

Israel will go ‘into his oath’ (Deut.29:12), and the new ruler as the prophet of Israel ‘shall confirm the covenant with many for one week’ (Dan.9: 27). They will begin to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings in the third Temple (Ezek. 40). After 3.5 years, this ‘idol shepherd’ (Zech.11:17) as ‘that man of sin’ will break this covenant. He ‘shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease’. As ‘that man of sin’ he will become the high priest ‘of the great whore’ (Rev.17: 1). He will make Israel into sin. At the end of the seventieth week, he as ‘that Wicked’ (2Thess.2:8) will be the king ‘one hour’ (Rev.17:12). This will be the last hour of the 70th week of Daniel. In a few days, he as ‘the son of perdition’ will be cast alive into a lake of fire and ‘with him the false prophet’ (Rev.19:20)

Jesus Christ said to Israel: ‘I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive‘(John. 5:43).

So, a rider on a white horse copies Jesus Christ. In the first half of the seventieth week, ‘the ‘idol shepherd’ will serve as a prophet. In the second half of the seventieth week, he will perform the function of high priest. And at the end of the seventieth week, he will serve as King one hour. But the Scripture say: ‘the king's son shall reign’ (2Chronicles23:3). At the end of this hour Jesus Christ will take His great power and reign (Rev.11:17).

The passing through the sea has its prophetic significance for the people of Israel after they leaved the land of Egypt. In the future, on the eve of the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the people of Israel will come out of the slavery of the official religion to seek the Lord their God (Jer. 50).
‘By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.’ (Heb.11:29).
Passing through the sea will mean for them ‘entering into his rest’, into the Millennium, for the performance of service to the Lord.
