The Laodicean Church Age = Now

To make the Letters to the 7 Churches (Ecclessias) start back at the time John wrote Revelation, and liken them to various stages of our Church/body of Christ history, just doesn't make sense to me.

First, Revelation (Apocalypse--the unveiling of Jesus Christ) is of 'Hebrew character shown in its use of idioms, expressions, words and phrases, which cannot be called Greek; and indeed, is called by many "bad Greek." '

Second, John writes in 1:10, he was in the spirit in the Lord's day. The Lord's Day is the OT 'Day of the Lord'. He is now in that Day. The idea that he was in the spirit on Sunday doesn't make sense. The 'first day of the week' was not referred to 'the Lord's day' until sometime after John penned Revelation.

Third, the praises and admonitions to the seven assemblies are based upon works. Their rewards will be gained in the millennial kingdom or on the New Earth. We, the church/body of Christ are saved by grace and kept saved by grace, and our future is to be called up to the heavenlies to be heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. Read Ephesians Chapts. 1-3.

My hope is the meeting of the Lord in the air--to not die but be changed in a fraction of a second, and meet the raised dead in Christ. I know of no "prophecy" that needs to be fulfilled. It might happen tomorrow.

If you want to get a correct (IMO) understanding of the Apocalypse, go to this link: http://philologos.org/__eb-ta/default.htm, and study it.
