Christ was on the mount of Olives, in a "place named Gethsemane" on the beginning night of the first day of Passover. He saw Judas approach “with a great multitude†and asked why they came to take Him withâ€Âswords and staves,†for ..….

Mark 14:49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took Me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.â€Â

This is written to us. We are the temple and He is with us each day teaching and yet…do we open our spiritual eyes and understand what is written or do we…â€Âtake Him not?â€Â

14:50 And they all forsook Him, and fled.

The "they" are His disciples, those that He taught, those that saw the miracles, those that felt His presence….and they are us. When that time arrives, when “the hour is come,†which is the hour of Satan’s temptation…will we be the man child or will we be those that forsake the man child and flee?

14:51-52 And there followed Him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Who was that "young man?" Some teach it was Mark, the writer of the gospel, another teaches it could have been Lazarus. And, who are the “young men?†Bullinger believes they were the soldiers coming to take Christ. I believe He tells us in the clues He has written in the Revealing....

Revelation 18:16 And saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

19:7-8 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.†And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

So, the saints wear fine linen and…those pretending to be saints wear fine linen. What of the young man above? Are we being given a glimpse of what will be in the end of days? As Christ was betrayed when the hour arrived…by one of His own, will the man child, who I believe are the “young men†of [14:51] be betrayed by one of their own, by the “young man†that left his linen cloth behind. When he left it he was then naked…without Christ! Who will the Judas of the man child be? Will it be one man as Judas was or did he represent many as Christ represented many?

IMO, you're reading too much into this. Trying to tie a Bible lesson into Christ's betrayal IMO is overkill.

When He said "come, follow Me" He gave us all the examples of how to follow Him. Even while suffering on the cross He was teaching. When He said, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?" He, who had never called His Father "God" before His crucifixion was quoting from Psalms 22. Teaching us that His crucifixion was foretold a thousand years before the event.

1 Corinthians 10:11-12 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
