Which chapter do you think is the single most important chapter in the bible as a whole. It's all good (of course!) but if I had to pick one chapter...

I vote for 1 Corinthians 15

:study

Also in Corinthians... 1 Corinthians 2. :)

Edited to clarify... I find this chapter so important, because it reveals that the wisdom of God is spiritual revelation, it is as much a gift as salvation is. I have tried to witness to atheists who quarrel with the Gospel in their minds, and try and try and try as I might, it rarely goes anywhere. And then I think to this chapter, and remind myself and them both that faith isn't born from persuasive words of human wisdom... but from demonstration of Spirit and power. To come and see.

After all, that's how it happened for me. My mind argued for so long, but in demonstration, under the words of an anointed preacher, God was revealed to my stone cold heart. And now my witness is my walk, and in trying to bring people to church.

Romans and Corinthians. Paul was highly favored. Amen.

Matthew 5,6 and 7.

I know you said one chapter but I couldn't think of just one.

My bad.
.

Revelation 22

Good choice brother. :)
This is going to be a good thread. I may just read every chapter everyone posts. :)
(again!)

Genesis 1

Because it's the foundation on which the rest of the Bible is built.

The TOG
don't you mean the torah? no week there in genesis one, no shabat and no nation.

This is my favorite verse in John 1.
Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.

The OP asks for one chapter. I would say that the Torah is the most important section of the Bible, and that Genesis is the most important book of the Torah. Chapter 1 is the most important chapter of Genesis, and verse one is the most important verse in that chapter. It is the fact that God is the creator of the universe and everything in it that gives Him authority over His creation. Because of what Gen. 1:1 says, He has the right to make moral laws for us to follow, decide the consequences of breaking those laws and determin a method for us to recieve forgiveness after we have broken them.

Galatians 5

There we see the only thing that counts towards justification is faith. A faith that is then expressed through love for others:

"The only thing that counts is faith.... (selah: pause to think about it)......
....expressing itself through love." (selah)"

(Galatians 5:6 NIV 'selahs' added by me)

And this is what that love doesn't look like:
"19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. " (Galatians 5:19-21 NASB)

And this is what it does look like:
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control." (Galatians 5:22-23 NASB)

What saves a person, and what the faith that saves is to look like, and not look like, in a person. All in one chapter.

You could put me on a deserted Island with just the book of Deuteronomy and I'd have all the spiritual food I'd need.

:lol I find myself unable to disagree with anyone so far and their reasons. It's interesting to see the train of thought behind the chapters chosen. Some of the chapters listed here (many in fact) I have thought the same about at some point in time.

I hear ya'! Keep 'em coming.

It could also be John 14, 15, 16 :study hmmm.
