It is one of the greatest mysteries in the world. The number 666 - what is it? In Revelation 13:18, the author challenges the reader: "Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is a human number; and its number is 666."

Like the stars in the sky and like the sand on the sea, so many people have tried to solve this mystery. Now listen to me: I have the solution to this mystery. The solution: The name behind the number 666 is EUPORIA. The Gematria of Euporia in Greek is 666. The word means "riches, means, wealth". In Greek it is ΕΥΠΟΡΙΑ.

Ε = 5
Υ = 400
Π = 80
Ο = 70
Ρ = 100
Ι = 10
Α = 1
_____
Total 666

Reason why Gematria is the way to solve 666: Revelation 13:17-18 says that 666 is the number of a name and that we need to count the number to find out what the name is. This is Gematria. In Gematria each letters of a word has a value and if you count the values you get a number.

Reason why the word must be Greek: The Book of Revelation was written in Greek and the author even names Greek letters like Alpha and Omega in Revelation 1:8, 21:6 and 22:13.

Reason why it's not "the number of a man": In Revelation 13:18 there is no definite or indefinite article connected with the Greek word "anthropos". It would therefore make more sense to translate the passage as "human number".

Besides, in the Old Testament there is a Hebrew word that is similar to the meaning of Euporia and its Gematria is also 666. It's the word Yithron (יִתְרוֹן). It means "advantage, profit, excellency". The word occurs only in the book of Ecclesiastes.

Euporia occurs only once in the New Testament, in Acts 19:25. Here's the verse with context:
24 For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, was bringing no little business to the craftsmen; 25 these he gathered together with the workmen of similar trades, and said, “Men, you know that our WEALTH depends upon this business. 26 You see and hear that not only in Ephesus, but in almost all of Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away a considerable number of people, saying that gods made with hands are no gods at all. 27 Not only is there danger that this trade of ours fall into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis be regarded as worthless and that she whom all of Asia and the world worship will even be dethroned from her magnificence.” 28 When they heard this and were filled with rage, they began crying out, saying, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” 29 The city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed with one accord into the theater, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia.
See now what Apostle Paul has written in 1 Corinthians 15:32 about what happened in Ephesus:
32 If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.
Keep Acts 19:24-29 in mind and now see what Daniel 3:1-6 and Revelation 13:11-15 say:
Daniel 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, the height of which was sixty cubits and its width six cubits; he set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon. 4 Then the herald loudly proclaimed: “To you the command is given, O peoples, nations and men of every language, 5 that at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery, bagpipe and all kinds of music, you are to fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up. 6 But whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire.”

Revelation 13:11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon. 12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast (sea beast) in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life. 15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
Understand the foreshadows:
Demetrius = Nebuchadnezzar = Earth beast/The Antichrist
Ephesus = Dura = Sea beast (seventh head)/Empire of the Antichrist
Artemis (goddess of Ephesus) = Image of Gold (god of Dura) = Image of the sea beast/God of the empire

Demetrius made an image of the god of Ephesus which was Artemis and Nebuchadnezzar made an image of the god of Dura. Both, Demetrius and Nebuchadnezzar, told the people to worship the image and those who refused to worship it or even dared to call their god a false god were attacked. The same is written about the Antichrist in Revelation 13. He will make an image of the god of his empire and will tell the people to worship it. Those who refuse will die.

666 is Euporia because Euporia stands for putting your own well-being above the truth. Is your own life more important to you than the truth? Don't you want to suffer and die for the truth? Then you have already accepted 666. You cannot live a good life in this world and follow the truth at the same time because that is a contradiction. This world belongs to the devil and if you are wealthy then that means you are doing what the devil wants. The prophets did not have a good life either, they suffered and were poor, see Hebrews 11:35-38. Jesus said whoever accepts the truth will lose family and his own life, see Matthew 10:34-39. The moment you really accept the truth, your life will become worse. But if your life has not gotten worse but you even have a good life then ask yourself if you have really accepted the truth.

In Luke 18:22-27 Jesus said that a camel would rather go through the eye of a needle than a rich man enter paradise. This makes it clear that the rich cannot enter paradise because it is impossible for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. Jesus told the rich man to sell everything he had and give the proceeds to the poor, but the rich man refused. Instead of following 888 (the Gematria of the Greek name Jesus) he chose 666. But the first Christians did what Jesus wanted and sold everything and gave the proceeds to the poor, see Acts 4:34-35 and not only that they allowed themselves to be beaten without defending themselves, like defenseless lambs, see Acts 5:40-41.

In summary, 666 means putting your own well-being above the suffering Jesus commanded because he said to take up your cross.

Praised is God! For this is the solution! You should praise God because you now know the solution!

Which came with Zerubbabel: Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The NUMBER OF THE MEN of the people of Israel:

The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six. (Ezra 2:13)

"The number of the men of the people of Israel": Adonikam's number is 666. Revelation says it is "the number of a man and his number is 666". Well, The number of the men of the people of Israel---Adonikam's number is 666.
Can you elaborate? Why should Adonikam be the solution? Just because he had 666 children?

Everyone has to choose between 888 and 666, between disadvantage and advantage, between poor and rich, between non-profit and profit, between death and life, between sorrow and joy, between Jesus and Euporia.

The prophets chose 888 and they suffered, lived like wretches and were poor and died cruelly. The apostles chose 888 and they suffered as well. Stephen chose 888 and he had to die. Paul chose 888 and was hunted down, beaten, stoned and killed. Those who follow Jesus have no advantage.

How is that any different than choosing “Euporia”? It is one out of many possible words that could add up to 666.

What is “888” and where is it mentioned in Scripture?

I explained why I believe Euporia is 666. But he didn't explain but expressed it in very simple and very short words, which is why I asked him for an elaboration.

The Gematria of the greek name Jesus is 888.

The name of the beast with the 7 heads is Euporia. And the blasphemous names on the heads are the names of the gods of the respective kingdoms. And the beast that comes out of the earth is the king of the seventh kingdom, the healed seventh head. This beast that comes out of the earth is the Antichrist and his kingdom has a god and for this god he will make an image. So 666 has been around for a long time, since the first kingdom, the first head.

The seventh healed head is a kingdom from the past that has fallen. This kingdom will return and have a god. It will be a kingdom of 10 countries, 10 horns. The 10 countries have a tremendous hatred against Babylon the Great. Babylon the Great is that woman who sits on the beast with the seven heads. The Antichrist and the 10 countries he will rule will attack Babylon and brutally kill her. We can find out who the Antichrist and Babylon are by looking at the world. Are there a number of countries that hate a certain people very much? Are there a number of countries that want to wipe out a people?

No one really knows what 666 is. Revelation does say this: "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is THE NUMBER OF A MAN; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (Rev. 13: 18). Revelation tells us it is the "number of a man".

I simply showed that Ezra 2 says: "The NUMBER OF THE MEN of the people of Israel". Then it lists names. When it comes to Adonikam in verse 13: it says his number is 666. So, it is saying that the number of the men Adonikam brought was 666. So it is the number of his name.

So, some are led to believe that the Anti-Christ may have the name Adonikam or have a name with the same definition ("my Lord has risen up"). That is an interesting meaning as we know that Jesus ROSE from the dead, and the Anti-Christ will be "in place of" the real Christ.

I am not saying that Adonikam is the Anti-Christ----just explaining why some believe Adonikam may have something to do with it. Solomon is also associated with 666 as that is the amount of talents of gold: 1 Kings 10:14 says, "the weight of gold which Solomon received every year was 666 talents of gold, besides what came from tradesmen, from the traffic of the merchants, and from all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the regions."

So, both of these passages are very interesting concerning 666. No one has ever interpreted it correctly though. So don't believe you have come up with some unique understanding of it---many before you have also to no avail.

The solution I gave is the correct one. I have provided an explanation, an explanation that is conclusive. There's no doubt that Euporia is the name of the beast with the seven heads.

The theory of Adonikam just doesn't make sense. This theory simply says: "Adonikam is it because he had 666 sons" That is not at all convincing. While Euporia makes sense with all the explanation I gave.

See how the RSV translation of Rev 13:18 is: "...for it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty-six." RSV says "human number". It's not the number of a single man, it's the number of the beast from the sea. It's the number of the beast with the seven heads/empires.

I explained why I believe Euporia is 666. But he didn't explain but expressed it in very simple and very short words, which is why I asked him for an elaboration.
You did explain, but as I pointed out, it's entirely arbitrary. Your reasoning is also not correct that the 'Reason why it's not "the number of a man": In Revelation 13:18 there is no definite or indefinite article connected with the Greek word "anthropos". It would therefore make more sense to translate the passage as "human number".'

A lack of the definite article can mean "the number of man" or "the number of a man." Both translations are legitimate.

The Gematria of the greek name Jesus is 888.
I think we should be much more careful in getting into such numerology, especially when there is no mention of "888."

Anyway, you're free to believe what you want, so I am stepping out.

A lack of the definite article can mean "the number of man" or "the number of a man." Both translations are legitimate.
Ultimately, it depends on the context because the context determines the correct translation. Since we know that the number of the beast is the number of the beast of the sea, we can conclude that it cannot be a single person. The beast with the seven heads is a composition of seven different kingdoms.
I think we should be much more careful in getting into such numerology, especially when there is no mention of "888."
The Bible is full of numerology. Numbers have meanings in the Bible. The number 1 stands for a new beginning, 7 for completion, 12 for election, 13 for unity and so on.

Nothing---- No---your explanation is not "conclusive". I do not subscribe to the Adonikam theory---but it makes more sense than yours does. Revelation says "Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding count the number of the beast". Wisdom and understanding come from the Word of God. Adonikam or Solomon's gold are in the Word of God. Euporia is coming from your own wisdom and understanding. I'm not rebuking you--just stating that to say "this is conclusive" is kind of dangerous. "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit". (2 Peter 1:20,21)

When someone says "I see something in the Word no one has ever seen before", or "God has shown me something others have not seen" we should beware. That is how many are mislead by leaders who predict dates for the return of Christ, or think they have some kind of special wisdom others do not have. I think when the "beast" or Anti-Christ arrives then men will understand Revelation 13:13. I think it's basically futile to try to interpret it right now.
