Hello,

I'm Sandra and I'm new here, I realize this isn't the place for introductions but I just figured I'd get that out of the way. I found this forum pretty recently because I'd found myself with more and more questions about the Rapture...I've been praying to God to give me the answers I seek but I just can't stop worrying about my pets.

I have three Great Danes and I love them like they are my own children, I just can't bare the thought of what might happen to them once I've been saved. I know that God, in his infinite wisdom must have some reason that is beyond my ability to comprehend now, that it will all make sense when the time comes but I still get upset...That is until recently. I found a website that offers post-Rapture pet rescue services. I couldn't believe it at first, but once I took a look around and read their registration forms, I knew these folks were for real! I actually emailed back and forth a little bit with someone I believe was the owner and I have to say, for an Atheist he was very polite! Of course I still pray every day that the people who run RaptureCare will see the light of God and be saved along with the rest of us, but if not at least they'll be around to take care of my Danes! :)

In case you're wondering, I did sign up and it has lifted a huge burden off my shoulders, I figured I'd share with the rest of you Christians out there who are animal-lovers as well.

Anyway, I hope everyone else here has a blessed day and I am looking forward to sticking around these forums for awhile, or at least until the time comes. ;)

Hi Sandra, and welcome to the forum. Like you I also have a pet that I worry about if the rapture happens. Whenever I leave him for a few days my neighbor which watches him for me says he moops around, does not hardly eat and just watches the door looking for my return. So yes I worry about him.." he's my little buddy" it good to see other people the love their pets, after all they are part of our family. One warning, this site although it is a wonderful site and there are plenty of good people here. this to me is not a very friendly rapture site. There are many different views here about the rapture and everyone is untitled to their belief. but back to topic.. I'm sure the Lord has a plan for each and every living thing here.. So all I can do is leave it up to the Lord..

Welcome to the board! I think you've been had. :chin

Hey, now...You don't know that.:nono
I'm sure Vietnamese atheists are just as honorable as the regular atheists.
Her dogs will be served well.:nod

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen[smile].
Was it "Eternal Earth-Bound Pets USA", dear woman[smile]? If not, then there's another one for you to check into and compare prices, assuming that you care about getting the best bargain for your money before you leave and no longer need money anymore.
A question though.....considering the fate of the world as well as that of those people who are left behind in it[I hear conflicting stories, but none of them are positive], how well and for how long do you think that your left behind pets will be well cared for?
Welcome to the chat forum[warm smile].

Look, i hate to be the bearer of bad news. But my studies have lead me to believe that the (rapture) as you called it, is on the day of the lord. So those athiest you are paying now, will be burnt to toast, when the lord returns to rapture you. So enjoy your pets now and save your money.

It's great to see that your 3 Great Danes appear to be well looked after and loved, which is more than can be said for the thousands of neglected animals that are put down each year.

But as a Christian and the proud former owner of gorgeous Beagle some perspective is required. We (man) is made in God's image, our dogs aren't. Dogs are just one part of God's good creation for us to enjoy while we are here.

To quote from Luke 12:6:

"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. "

Dogs, sparrows or any other animal are still not forgotten but I somehow doubt our pets will be there with us for a joyful heartfelt reunion. Why? Nothing biblical, just the idea that heaven might contain people all dressed in white carrying little lapdogs in white baskets churns my stomach.;)

You all have to get outdoor cats like I have. If I was raptured, they'd not only survive, but they'd never miss me. :lol

I, too, have my doubts about Sandra and wonder if she is really a person involved in the dubious "I will, for appropriate payment, look after your pets when you are raptured." business.

But, in case she is real, I want to say two things:

1. I believe that, quite frankly, rapture theology cannot survive advanced knowledge of the Bible - I believe the Bible teaches no such thing;

2. I have hope that "dead pets" may indeed find a place in the world to come. We need to stop being so self-centred - the redemption presented in the Bible is not "all about us". Instead it embraces all of creation.

From a different forum:

"I'm Christine and I'm new here, I realize this isn't the place for introductions but I just figured I'd get that out of the way. The Rapture and Pets?

I guess "Sandra" also goes by a different name.

I like the part where it says, "and I have to say, for an Atheist he was very polite!". :-)
