The reality of a new year

Christmas is soon over; it sure lasted a few days but with it came the perfect awakening of our spirit making us the exact image of Christ Jesus Our Lord and savior.

Weeks before the glorious celebration of Christmas, all street ads plus all ads in the media were filled with fragrant messages hoping to draw minds to ‘change;’ a change that can only be birth by Christ Jesus dwelling in our hearts. It is undoubtedly true that in the joy of celebrating the just ended Christmas true Christians offered themselves to Christ in a whole new way as a true living sacrifice pleasing and acceptable before Our Father.

By grace we have been ushered into the morning of a new year; what are our expectations? Are we eager to perfect in his love or rather enthusiastic to live as we did in the nearly forgotten year? Let us remember that we need to make the fullness of Jesus’ life come to birth in us this whole New Year: “for seeing the joy of the glory endured the pain of the cross;†similarly, let us fix our hearts and minds on the joy of the glory which shall soon be revealed as the time of our King of Kings draws closer.

The cock-crow of a New Year ache my heart, for my soul is sorrowful for the woeful times we gradually draw near. Beloved, the end of all things is almost at hand and the bloods of the persecuted saints need to be complete; a thought of it depresses my soul.
Therefore this year and beyond is not going to be that lovely for us; the world is now given to the devil and he rules. All gloomy actions of him will now be birth and he will seek to do so wisely; we need to completely separate ourselves from the world and fully yield to Holy Spirit that we may escape his deceit because even ‘the foolishness of God is wiser than man’ how much more the enemy?

As told us by Our Lord, ‘we will be hated by all men;’ it is true that our brothers who lived before us suffered hate resulting from being Christians, and equally true that in these times we do suffer hate because of Christ but this does not dispute the perfect fulfillment of Our Lord’s word for just as it will be truly observable the coming persecutions of the saints so shall it also be made manifest to all the total hate by the world we are soon to suffer.

What then is expected of us? This is what we need to do: we need to completely yield to the Holy Spirit poured out into us so that we may do the will of Our Father every second of our breath; everything we need is in the Spirit.

May Our Father overflow our minds with his unfathomable peace that we may perfect in his ways, preserved for the coming glory.
