Okay so on this site in the Online store there are items with the skull motif.

Here's a ring:

In the store <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState="false" LatentStyleCount="156"> </w:LatentStyles> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 10]> <style> /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} </style> <![endif]-->I also saw a t-shirt with a skull.

So does anyone like jewelry/apparel with the skull motif?

Would you wear it, maybe?

(I'm also starting a poll.)

I think it might have once been regarded as a masculine motif only, but certainly not any longer. (Two cents')

I voted no, it is too masculine for me and would not fit my personality.

I wouldn't simply because I don't like the look. I don't have any problem with the skull motif in general.

Christine,

Ty for the comment. (And vote, too.)

I know that there is a kind of perceived masculinity about the skull image. Which is fine. It's not completely regarded as a masculine motif, though.

The skull ring in the link from this forum's store would probably be worn by some women as well. And more widely the skull design isn't only preferred by men; I saw this by Bhati Satalkar on 'buzzle': 'If you like decorated tattoos, then you have the option of getting a decorated skull and crossbones. This is very popular among girls and women of all ages. For the decoration, there are a number of options like colorful flowers or different patterns'. And the t-shirt, on this Christianforums store site, with a skull motif might also be worn by women, I guess.

Not sure what it all 'proves', at any rate.

A matter of personal taste, or not, as the case may be, really, I guess, right?

I would not wear it.

I have a jacket/hoodie that I got five years ago when I was fifteen. It still fits (yes, really) and it has a massive skull on the hoodie. I sometimes wear it round the house but not out. It has too many negative connotations especially among Christians. I only still wear it because it fits and is comfy. That's something I bought when I was fifteen. Would not buy it now.

For the record, I have no control over the online store here.

Not a fan.
Also while I don't think there's anything sinful about it, it has some negative associations.

This was a fad at a store I did most of my shopping at a few years ago. I wasn't following God then but I figured what kind of statement does it make? I didn't really want people to think of death when they saw me.

I like skull designs. I don't own any, but I like them. To me it's a artistic representation of the human condition...how we are all dust. We don't have forever on this earth. And that we are nothing in comparison to God's glory. But each person sees it different.

D-86:

I guess it can be a talking point in witness, yes.

Would you, for example, wear one, like in a earring, or pendant or tattoo, etc., maybe?

Blessings.
