it seems one may scan the writings of Einstein in vain to find mention of the Sagnac or Michelson-Gale or Michelson-Morley experiments - even encyclopedias omit any mention of them - in this way, for many years, students have been carefully channelled away from examining any evidence that contradicts the "accepted" views of the senior members of the profession - "how many with a degree in physics have ever heard of any of these three experiments, This ignorance is a classic example of the way in which "unacceptable" evidence is ignored and finally forgotten - there was plenty of time for the importance of these experiments to have filtered down to the students of the subject - yet they never reached them [True science agrees with the Bible/M.Bowden] -so how about that then and even now - more later - meanwhile check on William R Corliss - twinc

This isn't true. These are well referenced and the technology that has come out of these experiments is in common use all over the world today.

how then is it that many do not know or have not been told and accepted the results or even heard of" Airy's failure" - twinc

Because not many people know everything about everything (even though some act like they do). Anyone ever fly on an airplane? Have a GPS in your phone or car? Take a cruise on a ship? Then you've unknowingly taken advantage of just some of the common ways the technology gained from these experiments is benefiting us today.

granted - no doubt,no quarrel - with true science or technology imho - twinc

I doubt if there's a physicist in the world who hasn't heard of Michaelson-Morely.

I've never heard of any of them. I read quite a bit but am merely a po little wrench turner who is basically unedumacated, lol. I've heard of the double slit experiment. Learned about that recently.

or Bradley's aberration or Airy[ the Astronomer Royal] who repeated Bradley's measurements - so guess what the result was - lets see if you or others know and agree and will tell others - more later - twinc
