How do we prepare? What do we do? There is nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Job losses, mortgage losses, credit losses, retirement losses... Perhaps, you have not been affected, YET. What do we do?
Even So, Come LORD JESUS!! It would do no good to go to the mountains. They will come and take it from you. If you get guns, WOULD you use them? NO! Resistance is futile!

Homeless, Jobless, Penniless & Foodless. Now what? What will the "straw" be? Sickness? Famine? Drought? War? Everything is shrinking and cutting down/back. The church is like an ostrich. How can we possibly have a grass roots political voice? Mr. Smith Goes To Washington... PLEASE!!!

I have no answers. I only know that GOD is in control. There is no miracle. There is no escape. There is no hope. We are doomed.

You say 'God is in control' and ....
you also say 'There is no escape. There is no hope. We are doomed'.

For 'God to be in control' is to believe the word....that God provides a way of escape,

Luke 21:36
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. KJV

What escape was there for the Apostle Paul?

The apostle Paul wasnt fearful.
Just take things in stride. We may not like things that take place but dont be like those who were following Moses through the wilderness.

My point exactly. Paul and the rest like JESUS were murdered. Shall we not also be?

Well there is hope. We win. Well, those who BELIEVE win. Not everybody will win. Not all Christians will win. Those who believe the promises like Psalm 91 will be safe, provided for, will not get sick, will stand against the Beast system.

But I agree: Those who are not prepared in their faith.........are doomed.

The rest are in God's REST (Hebrews) and they are safe. They are in Christ and all who are in Christ will survive (even if they die :) )

No fear , just faith
No fear, just a sound mind.
We have the mind of Christ
Christ is the Ark of God, in Him we are safe. :)

Praise God.What exciting times we live in !

Ha, Paul wrote :

2Co 4:8 we are pressed on every side, yet not straitened; perplexed, yet not unto despair;
2Co 4:9 pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed;
2Co 4:10 always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body.
2Co 4:11 For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

Amen, :) we will see Christ manifest in those who follow the example of Paul. I love the times we live in.

Paul's escape?..... the hope of resurrection.

Phil 3:8-10

8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; KJV

Philippians 1:21 - For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain.

I Think The Church Is Like An Ostrich...
There is a difference between faith and fear.

Fear causes people to go into denial, like an ostrich with its head in the sand.

Faith is not denial. Some who are in faith, see the storm coming and we are prepared for it. We have no fear of it. That is not like an ostrich :P

A number of trials are indeed ahead. There is no denying that. But at the same time if we are to run, panic, and allow fear....a spirt in which God did NOT give us to overthrow us, then what is the point of faith? Yes there is a chance some of us may be persecuted for our faith, but is there not scripture that tells us not to be sad in our trials but see them as a mans to strengthen our relationships with God? Not to mention I believe there is also a passage that speaks of the joys to be had in Heaven. For it is there that there is no more pain, tears, or sorrows.

So why act as though God is without mercy, love, or compassion? For was it not He who sent Jesus, His Son, to die for us all?

Frightening as things are looking, is it so wrong to trust in the one who created us?

I ask you again, are you still employed?

My post above was my first in this topic. I will not deny I am fortunate to have a job. However, my job is what is keeping a roof over my husband's and my head. I am also employed while pregnant. While my husband is merely in a testing phase of employment seeing as no permanent position was garaunteed him. We have but both barely begun to secure jobs after going for several months without such.

Nonetheless, this does not mean that neither of us know suffering. Nor does it mean that we do not know any of the hardships being faced at the present time, for up until not too long ago we were amongst the numbers without jobs who were getting frighteningly close to losing our homes.

What kept us going, honestly...God alone. For there were times we did in fact, question our faith and the power of it being strong enough to see us through. Yet something all of us as believers likely need to be reminded of from time to time....is that God will NEVER give us more than we can handle.

Hello UziUriah~

It is difficult at times for any Christian to retain the same level of faith. We can become weak in our faith, fearful and start crying out for help at times of great stress. None of us is strong within ourselves, we need the power of the Lord and His word to strengthen us at all times. But especailly when circumstances like we see in the world begin taking hold of us personally. When we lose our jobs, or our health, or our close ties to people we have depended upon. :shame

Brother, none of us is exempt from the kind of struggle you are walking through either. For no temptation (or test) has over-taken you but what is common to man... :nod

The bible further states that boasting in human strength is dangerous. Let him who thinks he stands take heed, lest he fall. No man, or Christian leader, or political group will provide our safety. People always fail us. Even church which is meant to edify us and comfort us and exhort us in love and care for its members does not always follow the command of Christ to care for those in need. :shrug

but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able,

The Lord really means this, its no minor promise without meaning for you because you are in trouble right now. He will watch over us all because we are His children.

Then He said to His disciples,"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? "And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.

But rather seek you the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Let your mind heart and soul take hold of the word of God dear brother, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.

I will lift you up in prayer, He will take care you, and guide you into peace and rest. Go to prayer, ask the Lord for wisdom and for direction and let the priases of the Lord be in your mouth, sing, and blast the enemy out of your influence too!

May our God and Father grant you grace and mercy as you seek Him. . . bonnie :shades

Psalm 44:5-7 - Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us. 6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. 7 But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.

Jesus also said: Peace I leave with you, not as the world gives....

So peace be with you all....
