'Jesus's Wife' Manuscript Probably Isn't a Forgery, Still Doesn't Prove He Had a Wife

Jesus had just reached the age to be wed when He entered the ministry and being in the ministry had no funding to pay for a wife, He was not married, that's stupid... 'nuff said.

Yeah hearing that made me angry. Now I have talked in the past' about Paul being married at one time or not.

I wanted, at one time, to give the Atheist an answer they could not dispute. i was driven this way because when I was lost I used silly arguments like this to cause Christians to go into crawfish (Texan and Cajun for Crayfish) mode and zoom away from me. The trouble is that there are so few saved men and women in the Church today that there is little to no study in the scriptures, let alone doing extra-biblical studies on customs and Archaeological finds.

This argument was a popular one with the Atheist of the 1960s because elements of the European Monarchies claim to be Blood Descendants of the Christ and for that to be, He had to have a wife. Like I said, dumb argument with no basis in fact and thus, no evidence.

God bless.

No Jesus was not married' He did not come to earth to get involved with that, He came to heal them.

As far as I am aware, there isn't anything written in scripture about Jesus having a wife per say. He did of course have many disciples and followers.

Why is it that every time an old manuscript is found that contradicts the Bible or traditional church teachings, people always claim that it "proves" that the Bible and the church are wrong? Consider this. The manuscript was found in 2012 and they still haven't published a translation of it. Why? Does it have anything to do with the fact that it's easier to say "it disproves the Bible" if nobody can check out that claim on his own by reading the text for himself?
