This Is Fantastic

Nice plane. It's amazing it does not stall. That'll suck the people back into their seats.

the wings ,look a bit different

They are thinner, I think. They appear to tip up more and then the very tips turn up again. They look like an eagle or hawk's wings at the tips, to me.

it has vortices. that isn't unusual, they reduces drag. as without those tips the wing will produce a vortex on each end of the aircraft.

Thanks Jason, I know literally nothing about airplanes, just that I love flying in them.

im not an expert in aviation. I just know something about it because of my interest in ww2 history in florida which has a lot of aviation stuff on that. if you google earth Sebastian, Florida's airport you will see one huge compass those were the way of calibrating navigation of the aircraft. that is now purely for ceremonial purposes. I also used to be trained in how to shoot aircraft down.

  • I Lewis would say that it is the engines that gives it the power to do that

  • Boeing test pilots pushed the 787-9 to its limits in advance of its display at next week's Paris Air Show
  • The pilot pushed the $250 million aircraft almost vertical as it left the ground in Washington earlier this week
  • The Dreamliner can carry 280 passengers more than 8,000 miles due to its highly efficient design and engines
  • The 787-9 is 20 feet longer than its predecessor, allowing it to carry a greater number of passengers and freight
