This was several years ago. Hopefully the ACA has improved health insurance since then.
 
Yes, but she was treated by her doctor 4 years ago. If her pre ACA health insurance would have covered her back then, she would not have needed to keep trying.

Maybe ACA insurance will work out better.

It reminds me of the story President Obama told about how his mother faithfully made all of her insurance premium payments. When she needed the insurance, it did not cover her. He vowed to fix health insurance so that this would never happen again. The origin of the ACA.

Hopefully it is now fixed, and we will be covered if we need it.
