Being the huge animal lover that I am, (especially of cats) I found this story of this particular feline really cute.

This is a picture of the Japanese Bobcat. According to legend, the Japanese Bobtail is missing his tail because one time a long time ago it accidentally caught its tail on fire while it was sleeping near the fireplace. The frightened kitty reacted by running and accidentally catching the town on fire as well. Then the emperor passed a decree that all of the cats should have their tails chopped off from preventing it from happening again. Of course this is just a made up story but it is also said that if you see a Japanese Bobtail in your doorway and it raises its paw, you will have a lot of good luck and fortune. Even though it's just for fun, we could always use some good luck right? :wink
