Three Dollar Comedy Dream

My wife and I attend a local comedy show and after the show the comedian tells us he does private shows at peoples homes too. So we invite him to our home and and we invite friends over. When the comedian arrives it is only us and one other couple so the comedian is disappointed but puts on his best face. He walks around the room collecting three dollars from each person but all I have is a five and a one and I give that too him as a little extra pay since other did not show up to pay. I stand up in the middle of his show and open window curtains to let the sun in and it is distracting to the show but he carries on. The show was not as funny as it was at the club.

On March 20th you posted a GIF of a cartoon kitty holding up some bills and the caption read, “I have three dollars.” It was making light of not having much, and I think that’s what the dream is referring back to. It is a message for all of us in a way. Times are going to get tougher financially and when they do it will “hit home” that the joke isn’t quite as funny anymore. But the message is to still find humor in life, even in the hard times, and encourage others who do so as well, for the fruit of the Spirit is love, Joy and peace in the Holy Ghost. I think that’s why you pay the comedian double, because you recognize the spiritual value in what he is doing, even if most other people don’t and are no longer focusing on the funny things in life any more.
