what is it? do I need it? I have two mail accounts now
can I remove it from ? " remind me later" if I do not need it

Did you mean Thunderbird email? If so, let it update.

Updates often contain security patches that protect you from viruses. If you have an email program, let it update when it wants to. Remove the program from your computer if you don't use it. It will be a security risk if it is not updated.

I did do the updates; thanks. I use a different email and have no need for thunderbird email. It was just confusing to me, So thanks for your reply

Thunderbird email client comes from Mozilla, the same ones that have the Firefox browser. I "think" you can download the Firefox without the other but maybe you downloaded something together as a package.

The reason I'm unsure is when I ripped this operating system I use now off the Internet to put on all my computers, Firefox came with it, so I did not have to download it. And likewise Thunderbird also came with it.
