Jesus tells us to do some things that are not necessarily easy. He tells us to repent. He even tells us we need to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect.

I do not consider disobedience to Jesus to be an option. I might fail a million times in my efforts to obey his commandments, but I must keep trying until I succeed.

I’ve noticed some people seem to take a different approach: They rationalize. They decide they can’t obey Jesus for this reason or they can’t obey Jesus for that reason.

What do you think?

We will never be perfect, void of sin. However this is no reason not to try. In fact, when we rationalize and simply stop trying, than we are furthering our sinful nature.

General laziness and sloth is a sin. Laziness in Christ is an even bigger sin.

Well, I am sure he COULD perfect us, He can do anything He wants, no can't He. However I serious doubt He will perfect us while we are still living on this sinful planet. When we are called up, than I imagine we will be perfected.

Think about it, if we became perfect and sinless beings, while here on earth, what need would we have for God?

I believe scripture teaches He can and He wants to, and that He will if we allow it. i taught a lesson on it if you would like I could post it as a thread on here. It is about 2 full post long if you are interested.
