I suppose that this is more of a moment's entertainment rather than something funny, but I didn't know where else to put it. It's one of those calculator math trick things...
You must have a calculator unless you are really, really good with pencil and paper. I do know that you won't be able to do it in your head.
1. Key in the first three digits of your telephone number (yes the prefix (example: 555-...)).
2. Multiply by 80.
3. Add 1.
4. Multiply by 250.
5. Add the last four digits of your phone number.
6. Add the last four digits of your phone number again.
7. Subtract 250.
8. Divide by two.
Recognize the number? It works every time.
My step-mother gave this to me. I don't know where she got it, but I thought it was neat. Can you imagine being so good in math that you would have time to work something like that out? I certainly can't; of course, I can't even add two-digit numbers in my head without hardly messing up. Anyways...
