Hello Amielou~
It is interesting how this situation may propel young Bil to your home where the ways of the Lord and His rules apply. What a season this may turn out to be for you all. I will surely ask our Father for wisdom and endurance with patience and thankfulness for you and your hubby; and I will lift up Bil along with my granddsons, I have seven.
I realise that this is difficult because it is such a jolt to your household. :help However, certainly the Lord desires that he experience a Christian home. Your faith in Jesus, and love for one another, and for him may do wonderous works inside his heart! :D I am excited for you, and really grateful that this young fellow may see Jesus walking and breathing in your precious family. ;)
A wise woman in our Lord once told a young man whose wife just found out she was carrying triplets that the Lord had
entrusted him with a mighty work. We often see our trials as burdens, but our Lord ever means them as His power to shape Christ within us, and make His loveliness shine out into the lives so dark around us... :nod
Father in heaven, You are Father to the fatherless, and a guide to the blind. You alone can bring hope and healing to this mother so ill and Your own loving admonishtion and care to her son while she is ill. Lord, be gracious in Your tender mercy to save and to heal this woman. Let Your powerful virtue pass into her body and and Your wonderful saving word flood into her heart that You may have glory and honor in all. For You love the unlovable, and have sent Your Son into the world to save sinners.
Father I ask for this boy, so unruly without a guide. Be his guide now Lord, and bring him to repentence that he may walk in Your ways and be taught to know You and adore You. let Amie and her husband be wise and gentle and firm in their care of him. Grant them abundant grace now, as You work to accomplish Your will in their lives and in Bil's.
In the saving name of Jesus Christ I ask. :amen
