Warming Up The Car

We can expect fuel prices to rise again soon, I think.
They are tearing down rigs in North Dakota, MT, WY that I know of and laying people off.

Which they say is one of the dangers of low oil prices. We won't be prepared to meet the demand for oil for when the glut of oil shrinks and that demand starts driving prices up again.

It's a shame. But, it's the reason Saudi Arabia kept production high, to flood the market and drive oil prices down. They can make a profit on 30 or 40 dollars a barrel, our producers can't. They have a competitive advantage and will use it to drive competition out of business. Low oil prices, BTW, make alternative energy project like windmills and solar panels uncompetitive as well.

I 'taint no economical genuis, but I think this is where some constructive governmental intervention can help us from rebounding into anuther round of high oil prices.

While entirely true, I am of the opinion that the feds are pulling the strings on this one. It seems that they would not be at first, but I think they would throw a few US oil companies under the bus for a while to serve a greater agenda.

well I guess the article writer doesn't know my old sable and that It doesn't like to run right until warmed. I had a bronco 2 that wouldn't shift into second until it was warmed up. so when it was below 60. I had to warm it up. sure it went into second when cold but man it was a like a hammer when it did.
