Was Adam one of Gods Elect ? Was Abraham one of Gods elect ? or David ?
Well Adam had to be an elect just as much as these other two men mentioned, because the redeemer was promised to be out of his seed, as He was to be out of theirs, thats because Adam and the women were one gen 3:
14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it [her seed] shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Lk 3 confirms that Christ according to the flesh, came out of Adams seed and generation see lk 3:23-38 !
Now ask yourself, could a non elect reprobate person have the honor of having Christ named in their genealogy ? The only other Two Men with that honor is Abraham [ Gen 3:16] and David rom 1:3
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
If we look at lk 3 31 we see David is in the same line out of Adam !
I do not believe many today believe Adam was a saved man, and that he is in hell now awaiting the great white throne Judgment. Even a AW Pink, a respected writer, did not believe Adam was saved according to his writings on the Divine Covenants. But if Adam is in Hell, then A Son of God is Lost, satan gained the victory over one of Gods own lk 3:
38Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
And not only that, but Adam was the Federal Head of all the Natural Lives of Gods elect, for He and eve were a type and figure of Christ and the Church, and through whom Christ according to the Flesh would come. He and Eve were made as the Head of that Godly seed Mal 2:
15And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
That He might seek a godly seed, meaning a seed according to the flesh that Christ was to come lk 3. Adam is at the Head of that seed.
