1 John 3:2
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.../

I don't know anyone who doesn't like this passage. It speaks of promise of transformation. A shedding of the flesh finally. A very simple transformation into a Spiritual body. But don't be late for the bus because transformation begins on the inside.

Romans 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.../

Here's where we come in. Transforming your mind and heart is a work of God, but we don't just sit there waiting. We study His Word and meditate upon it and that is the input needed into ourselves, so that the Holy Spirit can come make sense of it for us. That's why you always sleep on it before a big decision. Time for the Holy Spirit to work and take the input you gave it that day and assimilate it into wisdom and understanding. If you do not read the Word of God (and pray) there will be nothing there for the Holy Spirit to work with and your spiritual growth will be stunted.

It's easy to believe in things that you can see. So when we see Jesus as He is, it will be in the twinkling of an eye how fast we change...because our belief will be solid due to being able to see Him. Many Christians belief is not sufficient because of the lack of knowledge and belief. This should not be! Be not conformed to this world just because you can see it. Look to the unseen and focus on it. He's there somewhere!! Especially where 2 or more are gathered in His name.

Ok so most of us are sort of spiritually handicapped. We haven't seen into the Kingdom realm, me included. But we're supposed to be able to. I heard a Brothers testimony on youtube that when Jesus was speaking to him he was talking about how He is sad that no one comes to visit Him, and knock on His door...that everyone wants Him to come to them, but they wont even try to come visit Him. Friendships on earth, where only one friend goes to the others house all the time and the other friend doesn't go to his house are strained because the one friend would feel taken advantage of. So I believe that man's testimony about that.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.../

So start thinking like this. As a spiritual being and not a flesh man.

Amen.

Peter says it this way:

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
2 Peter 1:5-9

Notice what he says to us, who have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness, in which out part is to -

  • add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
