I've lost about 20 pounds in 20 days on the keto diet. Undoubtedly at least half of that was water weight, but I'll take it how I can get it lol. As someone who's been overweight since age 9 and pretty much a food addict, this lifestyle has given me a lot of liberty. A few years ago, I lost 70 pounds on a very low calorie diet (1200 per day), but it was miserable for me. I thought about food basically all the time, I didn't have much energy, and the choices in food were so limited. This diet is extremely sustainable for me. I prayed about losing weight, and my friend got in touch with me very soon after and told me about his success with this lifestyle, he himself lost 50 pounds in 100 days, reversed metabolic syndrome and got his blood pressure completely under control.
My goal, in faith, is to drop a cool hundred pounds by January. It's going to happen, I have no doubts about it. I'll be sharing some progress pictures as things move along.
