What have they done?

Revelation 11:7 When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them.

We know the two witnesses kill and torment thier enemies for 42 months before the ten confederation of nations kill them. We also know this ten confederation of nations hate the prostitute and make her desolate. The prostitute being the city of Jerusalem which they are seen attacking when they kill the two witnesses.

Revelation 17:16 KJV: And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

We also know God wanted these nations to attack Jerusalem at that time.

For I will gather all the nations for battle against Jerusalem, and the city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.

Now the question is, what had the two witnesses done to cause God to have the nations attack Jerusalem, raping the women and leading others into exile and killing many others?

What have these two witnesses caused Jerusalem to do with thier prophecying for God to refer to Jerusalem as a prostitute and cause the ten nations to destroy the prostitute?

If these two prophets had called Jerusalem to repentence, and Jerusalem repented, then God world not have caused the nations to take attack Jerusalem in such a violent attack and conquest.

My oh my, Look what these two witnesses have caused.
