How can a person see what is a strong delusion?

Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

II Thessalonians 2

I assume it would be strong enough to mean the deluded person did not know Jesus was the way, the truth, the light. Rejecting the Lord's sacrifice entirely.

I believe it has to do with the Mark of the Beast.

I think that the delusion is that He removes all truth and only allows them to see the lie as truth.
In my mind, it is like giving them a hard heart or speaking to the people in parables. God has seen that these people (people who have been denying the truth for a long time) choose not to accept His ways or truth, so he makes them blind to the truth so that they cannot see it anymore.
One really has to go back up to read at least vs. 10, to get a better understanding of what vs. 11 is saying, and whom Paul is talking about. And to get the whole story start from vs 1.
Blessings :)

The Bible makes it clear why God is sending a strong delusion in the end times: “They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). Simply put, God sends a strong delusion to those who chose not to believe the gospel of Christ. Those who take delight in mocking and rejecting Him, He will condemn.

It almost reminds me of the story about Ahab;

19 Then Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. 20 And the Lord said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. 21 Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ 22 The Lord said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the Lord said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’ 23 Therefore look! The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the Lord has declared disaster against you.” 1 Kings 22:19-23 NKJV

I believe the strong delusion will be aliens. That in the end times people who don't want to believe in God will instead believe that we came from aliens. It's a pretty popular concept right now- ever seen Ancient Aliens?

Actually, many new age christian types think the aliens are the fallen angels and that original sin was that Eve succumbed to Satan sexually, cain being that spawn. The delusion comes in MANY FORMS that 'appear' to be Christian but I don't think are, and which require 'extra' biblical interpretations and conclusions. Often the Book of Enoch is cited. I am not against reading extra -biblical stuff - fellowship is extra-biblical. The newspaper is extra-biblical. We learn by reading each others words and so on. Experience teaches us things and lets us be oriented for daily life. But the emphasis and priority always has to be the bible when it comes to statements of belief.

The hardest part is to not allow oneself to read everything they see that is not Biblical. When we open the door to things that are contrary to the Word of God, it can become difficult to turn it around. It's never a good idea to open oneself up to reading the lies of the enemy. Because if we are not careful we could get stuck in it. Which is what the devil wants

Yo know what? You are so right. I noticed that as I started praying. I had a lot less interest in the news and my interest in finding out about certain things disappeared. Curiosity went out the window and now I feel so content to ignore the lies. It is as if I can choose what tree I belong to. I do not have to pursue the knowledge of good and evil. I only need to love and follow Jesus, the way, the truth, the light: Life

The strong delusion is sent by God to those of the religion of Judaism, who will build the new Temple in hopes that their messiah will come, since they reject the true Messiah.

If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods'--which you have not known--'and let us serve them,'3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 13:1-3
