What The Bible Left Out

Cool! Always something more to learn. History has an important context in Scripture.

Many people just don't know that a lot of secular historians and writers from Bible times back the Bible up.

I knew about Agrippa and the trial of paul being a farce. the connection with the mortar is implied but never saw it.

Rather laughable in a way. Here we have thinking people applauding Josephus' words. Yet, when some people who won't take the time to reason things out, read other things he records that don't suit their particular thinking, hardly any of what this man said gets considered credible at that time.

Yes, "we" certainly are a very interesting group. We're usually "for" people if they say what we want to hear, and in the next minute, "against" them if their same research digs up something we choose not to believe.

I've more than likely heard of him before, but I have to admit I don't know much of anything about Josephus. While I have done my research on parts of scripture and am willing to research (there's always more to learn), I don't claim to be a Bible scholar.

willie t has links, I use him to debunk a lot of the futurist ideas on eschatology.

The complete works of Josephus are available in the e-Sword Study Program, free. There are some facts that are not important to the Bible narrative, if they were, God would have included them. Josephus is a good work to see the reason for a lot of what goes on in the scriptures.
