I think it'll smell like fabric softener and flowers. Is there scripture about that.

I'll just be glad to get a resurrected body so that I can smell anything again. I lost my sense of smell several years ago. Every now and then, I do smell things, slightly, but it's rare. It's also sort of crazy, but sometimes I'll also smell things that simply aren't there. One day, for the whole day, the whole house smelled intensely like freshly made chocolate brownies. It smelled so delicious and all I wanted was to scarf down some of my famous, double-fudgy-wudgy chocolate chip brownies. However, not only had no one made chocolate brownies for a number of weeks, but even if they had, I wouldn't have been able to eat them because I can't eat chocolate any more either.

Yep, that resurrected, perfect body... looking forward to it!

I'm sure heaven will have all kinds of different smells... and double-fudgy-wudgy chocolate chips brownies will surely be one of them.

We wont know till we get there exactly what God has in store for us. 1 Corinthians 2 v 9 "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him".

I read a story of a new born baby ready to die in the intensive care unit.
Her mother prayed that Jesus would hold her in his arms and save her.
She lived and when she was 5 years old playing outdoors near her mother she said, "do you smell that"?
Her mother saw the clouds coming in as it was about to rain.
Her mother said, "that's the rain coming".
The little 5 year old said, "no, it's not the rain. It's what God smells like when he holds you in his arms".
The mother started crying, knowing that God really did hold her and save her.

I was going to say it will smell of joy and then i read this from allenwynne..

Oh Allen, you make me cry.
I will from now on always remember your words when I smell the rain.
God is love. May He always hold you, dear Allen.

Dear handy,

you are such a brave woman !!!!!

I like chocolate brownies and all sorts of chocolate. I eat it sometimes instead of lunch. Even if I may only eat carrots and apples for the days after, I will not disclaim the taste of sweet chocolate.

I do not know how you manage to live without your sense of smell and without chocolate. That is really cruel.
I am absolutely praying for the kingdom of God to come very soon, where you will have chocolate in abundance!

Much love to you, dear handy,
Rose

Rose Thank you, Rose, that's sweet. :)

Years ago, I was listening to my minister preach one Sunday morning and he talked about what it would be like to lose one of our senses... he said, and I agreed, that if one had to lose a sense, the sense of smell would probably be easiest to live without. And, I still agree, my life isn't exactly hard living without a sense of smell. But, it's amazing what a difference not having it makes. We rely on our noses far more than I would have guessed back when I took it for granted.

I got one of those nice chills from reading this. I had to Google it. Snopes confirmed it as true, and I got that warm chill again.
