Did you do good on these questions on your IQ test? They love these questions.

What's the next number in this series of numbers?

1 4 5 6 7 9 11 _?

I did good on these types of questions. You may use anything you have in your house right now to assist you (calculators, etc..) But can not use Internet, phone, or tablets, or radios, lol. Honor system!
Have fun.
:lol2:confused2

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm,

2, 3, 12 -

I get the idea that the answer is found in the numbers that ARE NOT there............

Nope. The answer is found in the numbers that are there...

Dang. I was sure I could take a 4th order polynomial and extrapolate out one datapoint. Look how close it matches! Was it even close?

Not even close, Brother. But that's impressive. I must've skipped school the day they taught that. It's Greek to me!

Spreadsheets make it all easy now. I've never been so proud to be wrong.

That's a great attitude to have.

You're not really wrong wrong yet, but you do know another way it dont work...:wink

Fourteen is not correct....

Shoulda known...

100 is correct...it will fit to a "T"

The numbers in the series represent numbers, which when spelled out, have no "T" in them. After 11, the next number with no T is one hundred.

:lol

I was doing cube roots and all last night thinking it might be geometric representations.

Then words got mentioned and a good night's sleep....

All over but the singing.
Literally....woke up singing an old hymn.

I wake up with songs in my head fairly frequently. Sometimes a song I haven't heard in awhile. I've been told that many times, this could be the Lord speaking to us, which could be true because I've noticed that when this happens, the lyrics seem relevant to that days events.

I do this in realtime, usually on the radio or tv. For example I'll be thinking of the word "grace" and just as I think it, the announcer will say "the new Grace Cathedral renovation plan is expected to begin...". I mean, exact timing, right on the word. Happens almost every day.

Ok, here we go again - this is not a math problem.
I googled the answer, and I admit it - so I won't tell anyone the answer, but here is a clue: It is NOT a math problem.
I cant say anything more, as I will give it away.

I just HATE that I did not see it. :shame

Ah, yes....another numerical equivalent of a doctrinal discussion. :lol
The difference? We can laugh at ourselves in these.

It would be profoundly refreshng to see the responses posted here in this thread in some of our A&P threads:

"I just HATE that I did not see it." :shame

"Well give the man a cigar. We have a winner. Thought outside the box a little." :wink

This happens to me a lot too, at work. A song comes into my head that seems to be comforting me in the moment I'm in. I play it on YouTube and 'walla', it brings comfort and pleasantness fitting to the situation. Often it is a Christian song, other times it's just a pleasant secular song with meaningful words and feeling that fit the situation.
