Careful HOW... you hear brethren in Christ, because certain ideas that might seem are supported in God's Word, really are not. The devil is very... subtil with his influence of those who refuse to believe that Jesus of Nazareth is God come in the flesh.

Matt 1:21-23
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23
"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel", which being interpreted is, God with us.
KJV

Did you know brethren that name "Emmanuel", which is another name for Lord Jesus, was first given by God through His prophet Isaiah, and actually means that, "God with us"? (see Isaiah 7:14). The Isaiah 9:6 verse also refers to Jesus as "The mighty God", and "The everlasting Father".

1 John 2:22-23
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth
that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
KJV

If you don't believe that Jesus of Nazareth is God having been born in the flesh through woman's womb, then that has to mean, that you have rejected... His offer of Salvation through His Blood shed upon His cross. It really is that serious of a matter, even though it may sound simple.

Jesus of Nazareth IS... God The Son, even "Emmanuel" God with us. He is God's Promised Savior that The Father spoke of by His Old Testament prophets. Jesus is the "express image" of The Father's Person, per Hebrews 1. Jesus was the Old Testament Melchizedek (King of Righteousness) which Hebrews 7 speaks of. Jesus is One Person in the triune Godhead.

When Apostle John said that Jesus is 'The Christ' (i.e., Messiah), that title of 'Christ' is actually a Heavenly Title that is part of The Godhead. When Jesus asked Apostle Peter who He was, and Peter said He was "the Christ", Lord Jesus said The Father revealed that to Peter. And that is pointing to that idea above which Apostle John said about believing that Jesus of Nazareth is The CHRIST, and those who reject that are antichrists.

Greetings DavidT,

Why do you start another thread, when the subject has been dealt with reasonably well in a similar thread, with much the same title?

Jesus of Nazareth IS... God The Son
No, Jesus is the Son of God because God the Father is the father of Jesus, and Mary was his mother, not because God the Son was transferred and shrunk into the womb of Mary.

Matthew 1:20–21 (KJV): 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Luke 1:34–35 (KJV): 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

John 1:14 (KJV): And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Please untangle your accusations and your shallow Trinitarian beliefs and reasoning from the written Word of God. No the word "Christ" means anointed. Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit at baptism, and it also points to the fact that of being the Anointed, the Christ, the Messiah this represents that Jesus is appointed as The King, The Priest and The Prophet, Supreme over all other kings, priests and prophets that are alive today, or that have ever lived.

Kind regards
Trevor
