The new creation continues to live with corruption (the sin nature) (1 Corinthians 15:53) until the rapture of the Church. However, the younger (the new creation) is greater than the elder (the sin nature) (Genesis 25:23). Why? Because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4, Romans 6). We are still dying which shows that the sin nature lives in us. If the sin nature did not live in the Christian we would not age or die.At first I replied with assuming you meant something else than what you wrote. After reading what I wrote I had to scratch my head. I completely misread your post.
The sin nature is removed when a person becomes a new creation in Christ. Completely. The 'natural' inclination to sin is no longer there.
Is there another way to word the question?
I see. I thought you might be speaking in this way, but I was thrown off by the verbiage used. The new creation continues to live with corruption (the sin nature) (1 Corinthians 15:53) until the rapture of the Church. Why is the sin nature not removed completely from the Believer who is in Christ after being born again before Heaven? (Romans 8:1-2)
5 That experience is worth boasting about, but I’m not going to do it. I will boast only about my weaknesses. 6 If I wanted to boast, I would be no fool in doing so, because I would be telling the truth. But I won’t do it, because I don’t want anyone to give me credit beyond what they can see in my life or hear in my message, 7 even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.
8 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
