That was the unspoken inference in our family. You take the responsibility of fame and fortune.
You develop your talent. I want to be proud of YOU! Then I can say "You know I my brother , Humble is researching the cure for covid. He might find it soon you know"
Seems we are are more comfortable being associated with success, than actually being successful. Too much pressure?

As Christian parents, I'm thinking we should be most proud of our children if they grow with a strong faith in God.
