Amillennial is pretty much what it sounds like... NO LITERAL 1000 year kingdom, and it's spiritualized away into the HERE AND NOW... ie, they claim that THIS IS the millennial kingdom. It comes from a reading of Revelation 20 in a 'present' tense... which is taking the word of God out of its context, which is "the things which shall be hereafter", and applying them to the past or present. Does that make sense ?
This is what Preterist's teach.
I haven't studied what Calvinism is or what that teaches.
Thanks.

"In contrast, the amillennial view holds that the thousand years mentioned in Revelation 20 is a
symbolic number, not a literal description; that the millennium has already begun and is identical with the current
church age, (or more rarely, that it ended with the
destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 — see
Preterism). Amillennialism holds that while Christ's reign during the millennium is
spiritual in nature, at the end of the church age,
Christ will return in
final judgment and establish a permanent physical reign."

Jeremiah 23 KJV
5 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a
righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall
execute judgment and justice in the earth.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.
7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that they shall no more say, The Lord liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
8 But, The Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own
land.
