Praise worship and prayer together and seeing to each others needs
First of all you can not have it growing to 50 people that could not fit in the home. You would have to keep it very small.Do you think it is important to have those few agree with your interpretation of Scripture? It would be hard to have 1/2 of the group post trib and 1/2 the group pre-trib or do you think that matters?I don't know if I could be in a group of people that were preterist because their belief is totally opposite of mine.I would need to be in a group of people that I felt comfortable with their interpretation.

Its all about Christ not us or what box we belong to.I dont follow preterist teachings or any other. We are set free from those kind of things. THis is where mankind goes wrong always looking to put labels on everyone. I believe the truth is within us and each of us is at a different level of understanding. So the sharing of what each of us has been given is a good thing. Only pride would create a problem of enjoying each ones portion. For a person is enjoying the fullness of the spirit meaning the fruit of that spirit then there would be no problem

I am not sure about that.I read the Bible literally so I would not want someone in my group going off on some Scripture reading that was Spiritualizing Scripture or taking it Allegorically. That is why I think I would not join a mixed group. It would be confusing for me.I am extremely fussy about taking Scripture for what it is and how I see it and what my heart tells me.

How do you start a house group Chopper

You start with your friends. You need a house big enough to accommodate about 12 people. Someone has to lead the group. I suggest that you begin with a doctrinal book like Romans. To begin with you and a few friends go before the Lord and ask Him to bless your group. It is already His will to do this, so that takes that question out. Word of mouth is the way I have gone and you pick one night a week and go for it. God will bless your endeavor with the Holy Spirit showing up at every meeting. Your "house church" will be a house of prayer, study, and close fellowship. During the first Century, there were many house churches, and they were very powerful. I have found the same! If you start one, look out, Satan will try and destroy it and you if you really follow the Holy Spirit.

If you need anymore info I'll be glad to help. There is a fellow in this Forum who can help you, I'll try and look him up. God richly bless you my friend.

Being with a couple of fellow believers serves the purpose.People would take turns bringing a dessert for afterward. And by the way I know a man who used to live in Maine. He thinks he might know you but I can not give his name on-line.

That's ok Kathi, A lot of people know me in Maine, God did some miraculous wonders there thru Pastor Charlie Allen, shhh don't let my name out. :lol. Many were saved and Baptized. I loved serving the Lord there.

emptying ourselves of all that conditioning that stops pure love from flowing is difficult and requires going through fire and anquish .Most "church people" are still enslaved that their teachings are right and the other is wrong this stops us from entering in to the fervant love for each other that is missing in the world i never ask anyone what church they go to but if Messiah is their Lord. Thats good enough for me.

If you had me in the room with a Mormon and a Jehovah Witness and a Christian Scientist I would run as fast as I could out the door.It matters to me how someone is interprets Scripture.

wow, I wouldn't do that too you. shoot if we want to got there, if we don't agree fully with each other form a separate group over there, lets hope god has preterists in little cubby holes and the others the same too.

I would be more comfortable with a group who interprets Scripture how is is read.I think you could comfortably take a pre-trib person and a Post Trib person in a group pretty comfortably because that is not a dividing issue but then their are some beliefs that are just not Scriptural and that is where I would draw that line.

I don't like that my church doesn't allow me to teach eschatology but unless im here. seldom do I bother thinking about it let alone talking about it. unless I hear it on the radio or in a sermon. im in the minority. if you notice what did jesus say about his return in acts? go and make disciples was more of something we should be about then disagreements with eschatology. besides you are agreein with the oper whom happens to see as I do.lol.

Its time to get out of the churches and into Christ the scriptural tennis game goes on. Empty yourselves of these things and become humble

I think it is important for a little bit of eschatology to be preached. After all is it not all about the coming of our Lord?

2) The Crown of Rejoicing – (1 Thessalonians 2:19) “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?” The apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:4 to “rejoice always in the Lord” for all the bountiful blessings our gracious God has showered upon us. As Christians we have more in this life to rejoice about than anyone else. Luke tells us there is rejoicing even now in heaven (Luke 15:7). The crown of rejoicing will be our reward where “God will wipe away every tear . . . there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

im secure where im at. if im :

1) doing the commands jesus said to do
2) telling others

my position is that im looking at the cross not the world. some much of what is passed as prophecy isn't. its just news mixed with verses and the futurist bias inbetween. newsensationalism. my position is this. be ready now. not looking for a sign. the world has been dying since the cross. I just don't get into that. should I be glee ful as I have seen some that appear to want my kin to die so that jesus would return? I have seen Christians get excited. I now wonder if how many of kin will die in said blood shed. my kin are allover this nation and in Europe and isreal.

I don't like taking verses of out of context. edom doesn't mean edom literally, but well Jordan. what??????????!!!!!!!!!! edom is edom all the time. no body lives in sela, Jordan today.

Yes sister whatever happens in this world should bounce of us as we dwell in Christ. We can rest in him while the world and the churches continue with the scriptural tennis game instead of rejoicing in Christ the ruling KIng of Kings and the victory he won and the assurance we will never die isnt that enough for us

I was in a room with a Christian Scientist. It was in the elementary school library in the school where we both worked. I'd never met her before, we briefly spoke, I gave her a word. She responded, I gave more word. She came to our home Bible study, she received Jesus as her Savior.

Peace and Love Sister. The object is to win over our bros and sisters with love not by trying to be right. You did a great thing . By looking at another with mercy and love not putting the min a box is the key to being righteous. I approached4 JW in the street , yes i approach them and give them Christ, there was no throwing stones( spiritually speaking) and showing them the love of Christ within as i would with anyone else

That is true but then you have one dozen people in a room who are trying to be right. It would be a mess.Kind of like when some of these threads get heated.
