You made me think of something very important. We are all deciding who a false teacher is, not saying anyone is wrong. But we haven't clearly defined what the BIBLE says a false teacher is and how we know.
So maybe we should do this first and make sure everyone is on the same page as to the definition of a false teacher?

What scriptures describe to you what a false teacher looks like?
I think Paul gives a few descriptions in Galatians 5. Here's a link to those. https://www.biblegateway.com/resources/commentaries/IVP-NT/Gal/Exposing-False-Teachers
I still looking for more.
Jesus warned us that"false Christs and, false prophets" will come and will attempt to deceive even God's elect Matthew 24:23-27;2 Peter 3:3;Jude 17-18.

So....... this tells what a false teacher looks like... how?

oh, those churches that teach gay marriage is ok, the ones that teach all faiths lead to god. Universalism etc I have a few of them in my town.
How is someone saying homosexual marriages are OK, deceiving you or me? And I don't think I have ever heard anyone saying all faiths lead to God. Osteen certainly doesn't say that.

I know Christians in my church that If I took the greek and twisted it to mean something that it wasn't. they wouldn't be able to resist me as they don't know the bible that well. these churches I mentioned were once pillars here. they went from teaching truth to teaching lies. how can that not be? the churches that have always done this is only the uu.(which in the 1800's was an off shoot of the Baptist church). the others was a presterbertarien and an Anglican church. the later split with one side agreeing to ordain gays, and also the other sticking to the truth. that is very much deception.

That's interesting, but who is she to you or me? I never met the lady, or heard her utter a single word, so I'm pretty sure her ideas don't affect me much.

mother Teresa said that? she is anti-abortion/ anti-euthanasia. I would like to see that in full context.

Her best friend, roommate, wrote her biography.
It's all in there and more.
I think you can pull up her quotes on google and find all kinds of amazing things.

Really, not much more than many, many of our churches which already preach mistranslations of Greek and Hebrew, both. Just look at all the incidences of the word, "Hell" that are read right out of the KJV (and those basically written from it), even though they may not mean "Hell" in the original languages, at all.
We have built entire doctrines upon some of these mistranslations... yet we don't call 80-90% of America and England's mainline preachers "false teachers", despite the fact that they are teaching falsehoods.

you made the challenge, post it. quotes? sometimes those are ok but with catholics, often people whom hate them twist those statements to mean something they aren't. seen it. and im not a fan of rcc at all but I aslo will go there since you did.

1) the rcc has in the past based its dogm on the idea of the pope and the bible. the bible being an athourity but not the authority
2) protestants in general have started something similar, with the ideas of basing doctrines that don't necessarily have solid basis on the bible but are taught in a similar manner as the rcc does it. and also basing visions of heaven that have no mention in the bible as something factual.

so you believe in gay rights? a un repentant gay man can make into heaven? ie the gay man is born that way and god made gays and tis ok? the local uu teaches that a mulsim/jew, Christian are all on the same path.

A direct quote from Mother Teresa:
There is only one God and He is God to all; therefore it is important that everyone is seen as equal before God. I’ve always said we should help a Hindu become a better Hindu, a Muslim become a better Muslim, a Catholic become a better Catholic. We believe our work should be our example to people. We have among us 475 souls - 30 families are Catholics and the rest are all Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs—all different religions. But they all come to our prayers."
"There are so many religions and each one has its different ways of following God. I follow Christ:
Jesus is my God,
Jesus is my Spouse,
Jesus is my Life,
Jesus is my only Love,
Jesus is my All in All;
Jesus is my Everything."

source. not you quoting it. im sure if went to fb and said allen said this and posted it and didn't point a link to you saying it you would be offended especially if you didn't say it.! its the internet people twist words here and elsewhere. I have been most guilty of it. I strive not to do it.

Please don't play games. You spoke of twisting the meanings of Greek words, and it is quite clear to see that I was addressing that.

actually, I said by implication I could twist words as those churches do, I know where they do it. I have debating that stuff to know how they do it with the chapters. and you denied that those are in fact teaching heresy. if by 90% of mainline are ok then what is exactly are the Lutherans. presybters and others that have addressed and marry gays and approve it? there are off shoots of Lutherans. there is deception in the church.

you are merely defending a man who is weak teacher even if he is saved. I cant say if he has in depth bible studies. he may or may not but the pastor should lead and be hard when needed and gentile when not needed. osteen cant do that. free made that case already. it like this if I did just listen to ccm I wouldn't have much of any solid faith . those songs have mostly blah substance. I cant post the myriad of bad lyrics

and I also have been told by the pro gay right churches that the ancient church twisted the words to make it say something they don't say on gays. you didn't exclude that in this post.

besides. most pastors know that that have been to a good seminary.

Do you really believe that, brother? That men are born gay? I don't believe that for a second. It is a learned behavior, and a choice was made. That's the reality of it (IMO). Then some politician or whoever came up with the (lie) of it being something that a man is born with, and then they learn to use it as a crutch to lean on. (Oh take it easy on me, I was born this way...balderdash.)
