Others have already commented on the origins of PP so I will not elaborate other than to say Margaret Sanger was a disgusting individual in her raciest beliefs and enabling infanticide to exist on a large scale in this country.
Any organization that advocates killing babies as an option, is...
No, God has not "shown" us the world is millions of years old. That view is from secular science with an atheist presupposition. That "science" is incompatible with what scripture teaches. They hide behind the "billions" of years arguments to white wash the holes in their own theories. In...
I'm glad to hear that. Don't give up on finding other brothers and sisters out there for your close fellowships. Not only can you have people there for you in a time of need but you can provide the same to someone in their hour of need. As we mature in our faith, we owe it to other believers...
I don't think there is any question that there are non-Christians who have moral values. However, "moral" people will not enter the kingdom of heaven and they will be just as lost as a hardened rapist or murderer who don't know Jesus in the final judgment. I don't think anybody can argue...
I certinally think we should dialogue with people of all beliefs and faiths. But our close, personal, relationships should be with other believers as scripture commands:
Ultimately, if the majority of your time is spent with people who do not share the truth of God, it will begin to form cracks...
I was saved in a "mega" church and though the building was very large (almost like a small community college), I wouldn't say it was excessive or wasteful. If you have 10,000+ people attending on any given weekend you need lots of space for the people and all the ministry activities that go...
Sounds like the problem isn't with God but the fellowship (or lack there of) surrounding you at the moment. Take a step out and catch your breath. Remember don't judge God by the failures of man.
I'm praying for the Lord to comfort you in your difficult time. :praying
I think a just God (and He is) would save a born again believer because he has taken away all their sins on the cross (and He did), including self murder. God is incapable of breaking his promises and once a believer is saved, he is saved forever.
Because God is just, an unsaved person is...
There are 3 on my short list (KJV, NKJV, NASB).
I will go with NASB. Mostly because it's widely used by scholars (I read a lot of academic books and journals so the consistency is nice) and it's the most readable of the word-for-word translations for me.
My philosophy is this..........my philosophy doesn't matter because it's rooted in sin!
I lived by my own philosophy for 30+ years. It was the world's philosophy.
- Try to be a good person
- It's OK to (insert sinful act here) as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else
- Animals and the...
A pet has a place in the home but I see way too much emphasis on pets in our society. I don't have pets because I already have enough earthly distractions that take time away from the Lord.
Far too often, when I hear Christians talk about pets it's to such a level of detail all I can think...
I found this on an apologetics site. I think the evidence supports Friday as the most logical choice. If in eternity it turns out to be wrong, I can accept that.
This is unrelated to the discussion at hand but I thought I would comment anyways.
I respect the fact that the discussion here has been mostly civil between the believer and atheist. Far too often, it quickly degrades into a name calling match.
I'm not an expert on the census process of...
