Well then you weren't at my house yesterday!A Christian does not eat everything
Without visiting the Proverbs passage, I'm pretty sure that is talking about leaders, those charged with governing. They must keep their wits about them so they can do their job. Pretty sure.He eats for strength and growth, not for the taste and pleasantness of the food
Leviticus 11:1-47, Acts 10:12-15.A Christian does not eat everything, my minister friend told me.
There is a limit to what a Christian eats. He eats selectively - and not everywhere! He eats for strength and growth, not for the taste and pleasantness of the food
Your friend would be wrong.A Christian does not eat everything, my minister friend told me.

....and unscriptural.Reducing eating to mere feeding, intake of food for strength and nourishment alone, without thought to taste, enjoyment, etc. seems a bit...punitive. And odd, honestly.
Here's the other part... (Yeah, I Googled it)Okay, before this degrades into an argument about forbidden foods, lol....
3Do not give your strength to women,
Or your ways to that which destroys kings.
4It is not for kings, O Lemuel,
It is not for kings to drink wine,
Or for rulers to desire strong drink,
5For they will drink and forget what is decreed,
And pervert the rights of all the afflicted.
6Give strong drink to him who is perishing,
And wine to him whose life is bitter.
7Let him drink and forget his poverty
And remember his trouble no more.
Proverbs 31:3-7 NASB
This is prolly the passage Classik's minister friend had in mind. There's more I just gotta remember where it's at.

Your minister freind needs to learn to speak for himself. And he needs to learn that he is not a Jew if he's going to claim Christianity.A Christian does not eat everything, my minister friend told me....

Sure they do! Who is telling these people these kind of things. Just because it's not red doesn't mean they don't have blood! Obviously someone had no idea just how good is a king crab leg dipped in hot melted butter with lemon!...Another told me they dont eat any animal that does not have blood: snails, crayfish, crabs etc
Seventh Day Adventist Church? Their religion has rules like that? I guess that's one more reason I'm not one of them. But I've known a few of them and never knew any to follow OT laws like that. Are there different sects which have different laws they make them follow? He's an SDAC
