Jesus told us we needed to be perfect. I think that frightens some people half to death, but what is there to be frightened about? We need to learn a little discipline is all. Right?
Strengthening families through biblical principles.

Wrong. Islamists demonstrate far more discipline than Christians, but to no good end.
Obviously, sometimes self-discipline can be a bad thing. The point is that contrary to your OP, 'discipline' is not 'all' that is 'needed' to be 'perfect'. I suggest you do a Bible word study on 'perfect' before you error again.;)Please don’t tell me that self-discipline is a bad thing.

Hebrews 10:14 said:For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
I believe being "perfect" has to do with our position in Christ.
no, while we should exhibit self-control, but we all those sins or disposotions that own us and no matter what we cant shake that sin. the lord has to take that from us.
And that is what He died for to take away our sin.no, while we should exhibit self-control, but we all those sins or disposotions that own us and no matter what we cant shake that sin. the lord has to take that from us.
This is a cop out. God has commanded that we live holy, righteous, perfected live. Moreover He has empowered us to do so through faith in christ and the empowerment of His Spirit. If we live in disobediance to this command there will be consequences.Exactly! When God looks upon us, His kids, He only sees us through the filter of the blood of His Son---as perfected already.

There is no one perfect, but the triune God.
