okay that was simple
Well let's put it this way...there ain't no foolin' God. A person who thinks they can get baptized and then run right out and sin as much as they want has another thing comin'! The Lord Himself says: "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'"
the rebuttal to that not mine is that those people that Jesus were talking to you were not saved in the first placeWell let's put it this way...there ain't no foolin' God. some say not me those people were not saved in the first placeThat passage is so crystal clear and yet many can't see it.
Why?
.
I think it's because in our fallen state humans try to complicate things...but God's word is so simple and to the point that little children grasp it while adults are over analyzing it. That's why Jesus tells us to be as children. Keep it simple sweetheart! That passage is so crystal clear and yet many can't see it.

I agree a friend of mine are going back and forth he is in the once saved always saved by grace campI think it's because in our fallen state humans try to complicate things...but God's word is so simple and to the point that little children grasp it while adults are over analyzing it. That begs the question then: can someone who has genuinely accepted Christ ever willingly turn their back on Him?some say not me those people were not saved in the first place

the possibility does exist we can reject God as long as we live but why would weThat begs the question then: can someone who has genuinely accepted Christ ever willingly turn their back on Him?
jesus said I never knew you therefore they could not have known him to be savedAnd then I will counter with: "How do you know?"
.
That's a scary thought if you think about it. I equate it to murdering someone you're in love with. I get nauseous just thinking about purposefully disobeying God and abandoning Him.Scripture says yes.
me too I just don't like the phrase because it's not in the BibleThat's a scary thought if you think about it. I equate it to murdering someone you're in love with. I get nauseous just thinking about purposefully disobeying God and abandoning Him.
Question? If you believe a Christian who has been justified by God as righteous can not lose their salvation is this universalism?
Question 2? What makes your sins forgiven and their sins not?
No not universalism I personally don't believe in the phrase once saved always savedQuestion? If you believe a Christian who has been justified by God as righteous can not lose their salvation is this universalism?
Question 2? What makes your sins forgiven and their sins not?
