like seriously I don't understand I know it's been like this for decades after decades but why? he died on the cross because he loved everyone and people mock and hate him???

Few people actually hate Jesus. MANY do not believe that Jesus is God and performed miracles and rose from the dead, but few really hate somebody that died 20 centuries ago.

They hate Christianity - the way people that claim to follow Jesus act and have treated them. They hate the things that we (Christians) claim Jesus taught [all the sin part ... they like the "love everybody" part, except people that are "haters" like Christians].

A lot of people have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to God, but that typically comes down to "the Problem of Evil" ... [How can a good God allow bad things to happen and do nothing about it?] ... this "philosophical" question becomes VERY PERSONAL when the bad thing happens to you or someone you love and it REALLY feels like God is the bad guy for standing there and doing NOTHING about it. [Even worse, some Christian will tell you that God is in control of ALL THINGS, so God DID the bad thing ... the "buck stops with God"!]

Those are the most common reasons.
However like Peter said:

At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him.
Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, "Are you also going to leave?"
Simon Peter replied, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God."

Because they do not understand who he really is and either don't understand or don't like what he actually taught. It's been like this since Christ came:

Joh 3:19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
Joh 3:20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

Joh_7:7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil.

Joh_15:18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
Joh_15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
...
Joh 15:25 But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’

(All ESV.)

like seriously I don't understand I know it's been like this for decades after decades but why? he died on the cross because he loved everyone and people mock and hate him???
It is because men love sin, and anything that stands in the way of their fleshly gratification is their enemy.
Jesus came so all men could walk in the Spirit instead of in the flesh(ly oriented mind).
That is a grave threat to those satisfying fleshly lusts.

Good question D'.
And welcome to the site !

I am sure you have-as I did-gone to many Churches-just to "fit in" the soma of Yeshua-just to be bitterly disappointed at those who profess to be Christians-and are not.

Many people follow false teachings from the Bible given by false preachers or they just refuse to obey instructions from God and follow their own minds.

There are many people who throw on the Christian name tag-[or a CF] and think by just going to church they will be granted Heaven, which is false. You know there are people like that in your church and especially in the youth today.

You know there are people still having sex outside of marriage, still going to clubs, they still have a continuous willful potty mouth. Hell will be worse for these people than atheists. They are just Sunday Christians and they don’t care about Christ. Am I saying that a Christian is perfect? No. Can a Christian backslide? Yes, but there will be growth and maturity in a true believers life because it is God working in them. They won’t just remain in darkness if they are the Lord’s sheep because God will discipline them and also His sheep hear His voice.

Quotes

Laurence J Peter – “Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than going to the garage makes you a car.”
“Don’t let your lips and your lives preach two different messages.”
“Your most powerful testimony is how you treat others after the church service is over.”
“What a heartbreak it would be to live an “almost” Christian life, then “almost” get into heaven.”

Beware there are many.

1. Matthew 15:8 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

2. Isaiah 29:13 And so the Lord says, “These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.

3. James 1:26 If a person thinks that he is religious but can’t control his tongue, he is fooling himself. That person’s religion is worthless.

4 1 John 2:9 Those who say that they are in the light but hate other believers are still in the dark.

5. Titus 1:16 They claim to know God, but they deny him by what they do. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit to do anything good.

Fake Christians sin on purpose saying, “I’ll just repent later” and disobey God’s teachings. Even though we are all sinners Christians don’t sin willfully and deliberately.

6. 1 John 2:4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.

7. 1 John 3:6 Those who live in Christ don’t go on sinning. Those who go on sinning haven’t seen or known Christ.

8. 1 John 3:8-10 The person who practices sin belongs to the evil one, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason that the Son of God was revealed was to destroy what the Devil has been doing. No one who has been born from God practices sin, because God’s seed abides in him. Indeed, he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born from God. This is how God’s children and the Devil’s children are distinguished. No person who fails to practice righteousness and to love his brother is from God.

9. 3 John 1:11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

10. Luke 6:46 Why do you call me Lord but don’t do what I tell you?

These people think there is another way to get into Heaven.

11. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.“

True Christians have new affections and love Jesus.

12. John 14:23-24 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.”

13. 1 John 2:3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.

14. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

They are hypocrites. Even though the Bible says we are to lovingly, kindly, and gently go to our brothers and sisters alone to correct them of their sins, how can you do that, but you’re doing the same thing as them just as much or even more than them? People who do things for show such as give to the poor and other acts of kindness to be seen by others are also hypocrites.

15. Matthew 7:3-5 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

16. Matthew 6:1-2 Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

17. Matthew 12:34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

They will not enter into Heaven. False converts will be denied.

18. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

19. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

20. Revelation 22:15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Fake Christians are false preachers and false prophets just like the cast of Preachers of LA.

21. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

22. Jude 1:4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

23. 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

24. Romans 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Reminder

25. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

You need to stay strong-rooted in Yeshua HaMashiach-not everyone that "lips" they are Christian IS a Christian.

DoaWK1992 -

“I hate Christians, Christians are stupid, Christians are annoying, Christians are judgmental bigots.” If you are a believer living in America I know that you have heard words such as these before. The question is why do atheists hate Christians? Why are we hated by the world?

25 Reasons Why The World Hates Christians And Christianity

Before we find out why below, I would like to say that it doesn’t matter who you are. If you profess Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will be persecuted.

In other countries some people are dying because they don’t want to deny Christ.

If you feel bad because you have never been persecuted for your faith in Christ, don’t worry it’s coming.

Beware, there are some people who go out their way to be hated by people.

Scripture never condones this. I’ve watched videos of so-called Christians purposely provoking and being confrontational towards unbelievers.

Yes, when evangelizing we should stand firm and preach the whole truth, but there are some people who go out their way to be hated just so they can say, “look I’m being persecuted.” These people are hated not because of Christ, but because they are fools.

It doesn’t take much for you to be hated. All you have to do is open your mouth. Some people are cowards. They will never preach against sin. They will watch people go to Hell and be silent.

These are the type of people the world likes. People who say they’re Christians, but don’t rain on the wicked parade of others. The world likes people like T.D. Jakes, Joel Osteen, etc. These people condone wickedness and never talk about sin or Hell. They are friends of the world. Luke 6:26, “Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.”

Quotes

“To be right with God has often meant to be in trouble with men.” A.W. Tozer
“We aren’t called to be like other Christians; We are called to be like Christ.” -Stacy L. Sanchez
1. The world hates us because we are not part of the world.

John 15:19 “The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.”

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people to be his very own and to proclaim the wonderful deeds of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

James 4:4 “You adulterers! Don’t you know that friendship with the world means hostility with God? So whoever wants to be a friend of this world is an enemy of God.”

Psalm 4:3 “But understand this: the LORD has set apart the godly for himself! The LORD will hear me when I cry out to him!”

2. We are hated because we follow Christ.

John 15: 18 “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.”

Matthew 10:22 “And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matthew 24:9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.”

Psalm 69:4 “Those who hate me without reason outnumber the hairs of my head; many are my enemies without cause, those who seek to destroy me. I am forced to restore what I did not steal.”

Unbelievers love their self-righteousness. We have to tell people who think they’re good and have been doing the things society thinks will take them to Heaven that their good works mean nothing and their good deeds are just filthy rags. Pride is killing us. They think to themselves, “how dare you say I’m not good enough. How dare you call me evil. I’ve done way more good things than you. God knows my heart.”

Romans 10:3 “For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking instead to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.”

Matthew 7:22-23 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast.”

7. Because they believe in lies.

There are so many people who don’t know the Bible but yet they still want to debate the Bible. They harden their heart to the truth and they say things like God condones slavery, this, that, etc.

Psalm 109:2 “For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me, speaking against me with lying tongues.”

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.”

8. They mistake love for hate.

I’ve seen Christians preach on homosexuality in the kindest most loving manner. They explained there is hope in Christ if the homosexual would repent and trust in Christ alone. Yet, I still heard unbelievers who said, “wow Christians are so hateful.” I was so shocked. It did not get any more loving than this preaching. In today’s society, if you say nothing and allow someone to go to Hell that is love. If you say in a loving manner that something is a sin, that is being hateful. True hate is watching someone who is on their way to eternal pain and torment and saying nothing.

It's called "muzzling"

Many people sit in churches and all they hear is love, love, love, and no repentance. When they go out and find a true believer who preaches sin, they say, “Jesus preached only about love. You’re wrong!” False converts sitting under a false teacher hate real Christians.

Matthew 23:15-16 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are. Woe to you, blind guides! You say, If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath.”

12. They don’t like the true Christ. They want to keep their life. They want one foot in and one foot out.

14. Satan has blinded the world.

2 Corinthians 4:4 “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

Ephesians 2:2 “that you once practiced as you lived according to the ways of this present world and according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now active in those who are disobedient.”

15. They hate us because we are not doing evil with them. They believe that we think that we are better than non-Christians, which is not true. We’re not better, we’re just better off.

1 Peter 4:4 “Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.”

Ephesians 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”

24. Because of the actions of fake Christians or immature believers.

Romans 2:24 “No wonder the Scriptures say, ‘The Gentiles blaspheme the name of God because of you.”

25. Christians are bad for business to the wicked.

Clubs, abortion clinics, pornography sites, casinos, prosperity preachers, psychics, etc. We fight against things that are evil, which is a problem for those who seek dishonest gain.

You will be hated.

It’s cool these days to mock Jesus in a music video. The world loves false religions because they’re of their father Satan. Christianity is the most hated religion for a reason. When we suffer for Christ we share in His suffering. Rejoice in persecution. Pray for those who hate and persecute you. Continue to preach the gospel with love. Show others the love of God. Just like Jesus saved Paul who used to murder Christians, He will save anyone. Repent and Trust in Christ alone for salvation.

Matthew 5:10-12 “They are blessed who are persecuted for doing good, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. “People will insult you and hurt you. They will lie and say all kinds of evil things about you because you follow me. But when they do, you will be blessed. Rejoice and be glad, because you have a great reward waiting for you in heaven. People did the same evil things to the prophets who lived before you.”

My advice? Keep your eyes off Christians and on Yeshua. Here you will be disappointed-not so with Yeshua HaMashiach.

Eph 1:13 In Moshiach you also, having heard the message of HaEmes, the Besuras HaGeulah of Yeshu'at Eloheinu which is yours, having also come to emunah, received your chotam (seal) in Moshiach with the Ruach Hakodesh of havtachah (promise),
Eph 1:14 Who is bestowed as an eravon (pledge) of our nachalah (allotted inheritance, TEHILLIM 16:5-6), with a view to the Geulah of Hashem's own possession, to the tehilat kavod (praise of glory) of Him.

my family doesn't let me go out so...

"Just a 14-year old Christian with anxiety"

I don't want to misread anything into anything, but my 18-year old daughter has a diagnosed Anxiety Disorder. If it wasn't so sad for her, it would be funny. I remember one time when she was about 10 years old, we found her quietly crying and unable to tell us why she was upset. It took a LOT of comforting to calm her down enough to actually talk about what was bothering her ...

"I can't get married because I don't know how to build a house!"

That is what had her tied into knots. The silent terror of a 10 year old girl that she would never be able to get married because she did not know how to build a home for herself. So we explained to her about people getting a job and mortgages and buying houses that were already made, so building a house was one thing that she didn't have to worry about ... but if she really wanted to build a house, then her family would help her build one [I am a Registered Architect]. 😉

It gets better, but never goes away completely. She talked to people that helped her find things that work for her to control the panic when the world outside (and inside) feels overwhelming ... breathing exercises, short breaks, music. She has learned by experience to trust God ... which really only comes with time: God helping you through something is the only way to really learn to trust that God will help you through something. That requires "time" and "somethings".

She is currently a Student at USF (University of South Florida) studying Psychology and Criminology. That's what she wants to do ... help people. So what the Bible says is true ... with God, ANYTHING is possible!

I don't know if any of this applies to you or not (none of my business) ... but I just thought that SOMEBODY might need to hear it and your tag-line provided an excuse for me to say it.

like seriously I don't understand I know it's been like this for decades after decades but why? he died on the cross because he loved everyone and people mock and hate him???

Because Jesus is not just a loving Savior, but the Creator of the universe, God in the flesh, and the soon-coming King - or wrathful Judge. Jesus is Light and Life, exposing the things of darkness, dictating to us right and wrong, what is true and what is false, and holding us all to account for the content of our living. This is why those who want to be their own god, whose lives are crowded with darkness and lies, despise him.

John 3:16-20
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

Few people actually hate Jesus. MANY do not believe that Jesus is God and performed miracles and rose from the dead, but few really hate somebody that died 20 centuries ago.

- John 6:66-69 [NLT]
Many don't understand Jesus and what he was. How can anyone truly expect mortal men and women to understand the divine without any experience? How?

John 7:7 was mentioned to you among other verses, but it is the exact answer to your question, which is, Why do people hate/mock Jesus?
The world cannot hate you, but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

Hey All,
DoaWK1992, Jesus taught this about the persecution associated with believing in Him.

Matthew 5:11-12 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Blessed means - O how happy is the person.
Let persecution and false evil speech against you for my sake make you happy. (Seem strange but read on.)

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:
REJOICE, rejois'.
To experience joy and gladness in a high degree to be exhilarated with lively and pleasurable sensations to exult.
REJOICE, rejois'. To make joyful to gladden to animate with lively pleasurable sensations to exhilarate.

Why would persecution and false evil speech against me make me happy? (A completely fair question.)
The prophets were persecuted before me in the same manner. OK, it is definitely an honor to be associated with the prophets. That's pretty cool. But why happy?

Revelation 22:8-9 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Oh. That's why. The prophets are in heaven. It should make us happy to know our reward for being faithful is eternal life. That makes me happy. That puts the joy in my heart from which I may rejoice.

Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,
Taz

The world 🌎 always hated Jesus Christ. He ended up crucified…a stigmatizing form of execution…to redeem the lost, even though He was and is sinless.

I do see more open contempt for Christ and Christianity ✝️ than I remember in years past. The rise and fall of many big name megachurch leaders doesn’t help. At all. In the USA the unholy alliance of politics and religion makes the situation worse…sometimes much much worse.

Reprobates hate God . They oppose the truth. They have free will. Sin separates us from God. The reprobates won't repent.

Titus 6;8. Words and actions give away the reprobates.
Reprobates bear bad fruit. They contaminate God's word.

Reprobates are habitual sinners.
Christian people sin and repent on daily basis, they try not to sin. Get the picture.

Galatians chapter 5. The spirt and the flesh are in conflict against each other.
The true Christian is led by the spirit.
The reprobates are led by the flesh.

The mentality of reprobates is like satan. They think like satan.

It's real sad. They allow evil spirits to influence them, or demonic possession. They have a unclean spirit.

Very few Christian people have holy spirit.

We see why there's so much evil and hate. Not all reprobates are the same.

Yes, Jesus can heal them if they did repent and come to the cross. Sadly, it won't happen.

Revelation chapter 20. The reprobates follow satan into lake of fire. Reprobates think they see brighter light in satan. Get the picture.
I hope this helps.
